If you would have asked me what title I did I think I would not want to read when the DC 52 was first announced I would have said this book because I thought it was a another Twilight type vampire story. But after reading six issues of this book I would say that if you like Vampires being written as truly horrifying creatures than this is the book for you. The hero Andrew is a noble but tragic character and the antagonist Mary the Queen of the Damned is the perfect villain because in her mind her reasons for what she does makes sense. Mix in the art by Andrea Sorrentino with Joshua Fialkov’s incredible story and you have a comic worthy of the top of any comic readers stack.
