Batwoman #1. A comic that was “bundled” into the DC relaunch after, if I remember correctly, being delayed from it’s original spring 2011 debut.

The story seems to pick up not long after Greg Rucka’s fantastic run on Detective Comics that focused on our titular character. The story was pretty good and fits within the world that Rucka developed for his creation, but I think the art is the real winner here. JHW3 continues to do amazing spreads and the way he redefines the ordinary panel space is spectacular.

As someone who collects more trades than issues, I can’t wait to see this first arc and JHW3’s work in one great hardcover.
