This is the perfect book so far of the new 52. The art is beyond anything that you can imagine, the double page spreads the layouts, the colour palette chosen for all the characters just simply perfect. Then to top it all off you have a very compelling story that works for any Batman book a good solid murder mystery. What makes this perfect is that it has everything mentioned above but it has also established the characters, who they are and where they are right now, with very little effort. Williams even squeezes in a few quick panels on Rene Montoya, just to let us know that she is still out there and not forgotten even if her official status is unsure.

If you know nothing about Kathy Kane its ok you will learn everything about her very easily, just by reading this one issue.
