Wow, this was spectacularly good.

I really don’t know what I was
expecting, as Dini is an astounding talent, but there didn’t seem to be
a real reason for this book. As it stands this title still seems to
have a tenuous concept at best, but it really delivered a good story
regardless.

I love how seamlessly it moved from Harley to Gordon to
Lynns even to Elliot. Dini is doing a wonderful job of keeping Tommy
Elliot from becoming a one hit villain.

I liked the Nguyen art, which
is saying a lot because I remember back during his first Authority run,
I hated his stuff.

The back up with Kate was great too. It seemed much
more meaty than the Beetle one in Booster. It was the same set up
status quo action story, but it felt like there was more to it.

This
issue was something I was willing to give a try but wasn’t overly
excited about. Now it’ll probably be consistently one of those books I
bug the retailer about if it’s out yet.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
