WOLVERINE & JUBILEE #1

STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PAGES OF X-MEN AND RIGHT INTO THE JUGULAR!

Jubilee is about as far away from the ideal X-Man as it is possible for a 17-year-old minty fresh vampire to be. While the X-Men try to find a way to give her as normal a life as is inhumanly feasible, her decidedly abnormal vampire cravings will not be denied. Between that and her newfound powers, she’s winning the fights but not the popularity contests among most of the other X-Kids. Most…but not all. And just when Jubilee starts to think that there is no place for her anywhere, a group of vampire women make her an offer she can’t refuse. It seems like the perfect solution…unless Wolverine has anything to say about it!

    Oh wow. The creative team for this is a lot better than I could have hoped. Jumping on this because I really love Jubilee. Excited for this quite a bit.

    @Froggulper She was 13 when she joined the X-Men in the 80s, and was sort of stuck at that age until she magically aged up to 16 in Generation X. And she’s been nebulously aged since the end of Gen X (At various times being 17-19, and even once as high as 21.)

    All I know about Jubilee is what I saw in the X-Men cartoon when I was growing up. I don’t know anything about vampire-Jubilee, but I think I’ll pick it up anyway.

    I’m all over this. I’ve been wanting Jubilee to come back to the X-Men for years and, while I didn’t read the vampire storyline, I’m totally excited to have her back. All over this book!

    I remember Jubilee from the Magistrates of Genosha storyline, vampire Jubillee is gonna be a trip.

    Very good! I was quite shocked when I read this. It’s a gorgeous book, but the writing is spot on. That Emma/Jubilee scene was fantastic. Great lines abounded in this issue. Can’t wait for the next one. 5/5 and POTW for me.

    Agreed that this was really good, BUT, I just kind of have to pretend that Jubes’ character development from her stint as LEADER of the New Warriors didnt happen. And 17…c’mon give me 20 at least.
