THUNDERBOLTS #153

HULK’s “Scorched Earth” program hits the T-Bolts – forcing the newest addition to the team to reveal their true colors! It looks like one prisoner will be walking away with no nanite controls and no chance of recapture…unless Juggernaut has something to say about it! It’s monsters, mayhem and more wicked twists in the series that ComicBookResources.com crowns “a must-read book each month.”

  1. I hope Man-Thing kicks the crap out of Hyperion.

  2. SRSLY. You know he’s been waiting to unleash him this entire time.

  3. Best “Avengers” book being published, hands down.

  4. @Slockhart  I think it’s easily the best Marvel book being published, with ASM a close second.

  5. I have to agree!! I seriously hope Cage sends Man Thing out to kick the @#$% out of an AWOL Thunderbolt one of these days… I feel like it’s just bound to happen but it will be oh so awesome when it does regardless!

  6. Keep in mind that Ghost was told to sit back and watch.

My guess is he is going to take down Hyperion.

  7. @BetaRayRyan I’ll go as far as to say this is the best god damn comic on the market!!

  8. Again I really like the cover by Land. Maybe it’s just because they are essentially fighting a T-Rex….but still I like it.

Hopefully we see Man-Thing beat the crap out of Hyperion but the solict kinda says otherwise.

  9. @TNC yeah. That’s really good. I wouldn’t have even thought that was Land. Thanks for pointing that out.

  10. Yeah that’s actually good Land work which is something that takes a lot for me to say.

This is the best team book in comics right now.

  11. This cover did lead to a funny exchange on XBL with me and PraxJarvin.

With us trying to figure out how Land could phototrace celebrities fighting a real T-Rex.

  12. How much of this was Kev Walker and how much of this was Jason Gorder? Because, based on the preview, a lot was Gorder and I wasn’t so crazy about his work, honestly.

  13. That last page had me pumping my fist in the air

  14. This comic kicked ass.  So much ass.  Like, the amount of ass found in all of 2010’s rap music videos.

  15. This issue was fun and I love a good Juggy fight, but it was a little flat of an issue. Still quite a good read. 4/5

  16. Man, that ending was awesome. Seriously.

  17. Oooooo…does this mean we get a new team member?  I love it when that happens.

  18. Oh yeah. Best ending of the week. This was almost my pick it was so awesome. This book came in second *only* after Avengers Academy this week.

  19. Ghost is the man. That is all.

  20. Completely awesome.  Parker has done an amazing job developing the team dynamic.  Great art as usual and that last page…

Also agree about the Land cover.  He’s mixed up his style  (at least on the cover’s I’ve seen recently) and it’s by far for the better.

  21. So Kev Walker drew most of this? Anybody?
