  1. GAH!

    KILL IT WITH FIRE!!

  2. I really want to see what is going to happen in this title however like Animal Man the rot, green, red have become to much and Abigail is now a monster and my budget is putting the big squeeze on me now so good luck Swampy….

SORRY SWAMP THING YOU’VE BEEN CANCELLED!!

    • I haven’t pulled the trigger on this yet but I’m close. I keep waiting to like it but I just never get there.

Animal Man, on the other, hand, I think is damn cool.

    • I thought about putting the axe to this one on the list also because issue 8 really didn’t do anything for me besides battle pages…but wow I’m glad I didn’t. This issue may be one of the best so far. This advanced everything and did it so fluently, and added great dialogue and depth to the side characters. This one really brings up the intensity and makes you want to know the next scene after the semi-cliffhanger.

  3. I want to like this series but Abigail as a Biker Chick/Monster really makes it tough.

  4. I’m in love with this book. Best art out there for my money.

loving this and can’t wait for the Animal Man team up. I’m completely new to comics so don’t know who Abigail Arcane is but I hope those crazy kids work it out.

I’m trade waiting on this (as it deserves shelf treatment) but next month there’s Francavilla on art duties and I can’t possibly wait for that!

    • I had reservations about this book, I love Paquette’s art and Snyder’s writing but I dunno… But then you land me this huge news that Francavilla is doing next issue and I got a nerdgasm so powerful it knocked me on my ass! 0_o

      YEAH! 😀

    • Wow, I think general consensus was that Marco Rudy took over the fill-ins Francavilla would’ve been doing – so this is really great news! That image is perfect.

  7. This comic is almost as good as American Vampire and thats saying alot Scott Snyder is great checkout Batman too if u like scotty”s writing.

  8. Loved the layouts in this issue. They were pretty fantastic. 🙂

  9. You know, this is a good book but it only takes me about 2 mins to read. Its a good story, just wish there was more meat on the bone there.
for 2.99 i’m not going to be dropping this any time soon but if they add a back up and a buck to this i’m out.

  10. What a terrible issue. Just Nonsense

  11. Ya this issue was nothing special

  12. This gets a 3 and it is all about Abbey being saved for me and also that will buy Swampy another month, the artwork was ok nothing specail except for the hugging panel which was heart warming and is just so beautiful even I stopped and looked it over a little more carefully. The rest of the books artwork was up and mostly down as far as quality. I agree with most of the commentors above about nonsense and again it has to do with this long drawn out red, green and rot shit. I am glad they did not completely destroy Abbey and make her some stupid monster!! You get another month Swampy lets make it count..

    • What a difference a single issue can make, I had this down for dropped and the book store still stuck it in my stack. Like all other things I stood there and thought should I keep this or just say sorry no thanks. So I guess I will take it this month I told the clerk and then I felt so small. Anyway; like my above comment and now I am repling to myself, sorta; with Abbey reborn and not some hideious creature this has a shot.

  13. I missed Paquette’s art in the second half of the issue. The writing felt pretty slight too, but the cliffhanger made me look forward to next month. All in all, there was not a lot of meat here, so a disappointing read compared to issues 6 and 7.
