  1. Do we know how many issues of JMS are left?

  2. I’m only pulling this for the cover…

  3. Enough, JMS. ENOUGH!

  4. Interesting storyline, I would of liked to have seen where this book would have gone had he.stayed on.

  5. @Alex
Has he wrote this book recently? Either this is his last, or his last was already published.

  6. So this cover must be us looking down on Superman as he stands in the wind, contemplating what a nice walk he’s been having the last few months.

  7. Guess Barrows is taking a break, will have to flip this.

  8. Gonna probably stick around until Grounded is over but wasn’t overly thrilled with this. First time I bought monthly Superman too…

  9. I gave up on this

  10. I think this is the last issue that JMS is fully writing–next month is when Robinson starts.

  11. I,Zombie is turning into one of my favorite comics that DC is putting out. So, seeing as Robertson is coming on board soon,  I’m gonna sick with this a lil’ while longer.

  12. In a small town near Des Moines, Iowa, Superman discovers that everyone is terrified of something, but they won’t say what

Spoiler Alert –  It’s the internet.  Now with broadband!

  13. Does anyone know what ever happened to The Brave and the Bold? JMS started off with some “meh” issues. But, after the Aquaman/Demon issue it started to get real good. and now nothing! Wasn’t there gonna be an Adam Strange/Lois Lane story that never came out?

  14. @WinTheWonderboy  JMS is focused mainly on the Superman Earth One sequel OGN leaving everything else behind.  I miss the Brave & the Bold too.

    Matthew

  15. @DarkKnightJared  No, this is Roberson’s first issue. JMS didn’t write it. And it was awesome. Reminded me of Phil Hester’s first issue of Wonder Woman. The clean-up crew is here.

  16. “You haven’t been yourself lately, have you, Superman?”

So those last seven pages in particular are a pretty big tip off that things seem to be way off and that Superman is acting really, really weird. Almost like Superman’s odd behavior is finally being addressed as a plot point!

The only negative I can see is that Lois seems to have raided Cat Grant’s closet and some of the Superman Squad’s costumes are a little generic for my taste.

  17. This is the worst issue of Superman I have ever read.

  18. I feel sorry for Chris Roberson, I know he can write some good stuff but he’s stuck cleaning up the the mess JMS left behind. =/

  19. This was awful. I miss JMS already. This was like a Superman comic from the silver age, it was just goofy. And extraordinarily dull. It may have been JMS’ plot, but the bog failing is Roberson’s script. “hey Superjerk!” “don’t worry sir, they’re going to a good cause!” ugh really? Somebody got paid to write that? I’d almost take one of the awful fill-in issues over this shit

  20. This is getting bad enough to make me break my 200+ consecutive issue run.

  21. how many more issues until this nightmare of a story ends? I hope just a couple. Now that DC is putting letters pages in their books I’ll be interested to see the responses they print.

  22. You know, I really liked Earth One, but these monthly issues have been hard to take.

  23. Simply awful.
Seriously?  Lois, the wife of Superman, is on the phone with Superman and says “You’re not still using that cell phone are you?  Why don’t you just use your JLA communicator instead, or use your superhearing to hear what I’m saying, and I don’t know, your Super ventriloquism to project your voice here?”
    Really?
That, and the threatening of Lois that Conor talked about on the podcast was absolutely insane.  I hope she runs the story and divorces his ass citing abuse.
Dropping, perhaps way too late, but until JMS is off this book.
