  1. Something damn well better happen in this issue or I’m out. First issue: SG fights robots. Second issue: SG fights Superman. Dang, those plots must have taken at least five seconds to write!

The interview with the writers sounded like they have a ton of ideas – but I would like to see more of them actually in the pages of the book!

  2. I have really enjoyed this book and I like the fish out of water story. We are going to get a little of that in Action Comics but nothing quiet like this.

I have found though that Kara doesn’t feel like much of a teenager to me, which I thought was the advertised age in the summer. Issue’s #1 and #2 have been great so I am not complaining just wondering if anyone else feels this way?

  3. She behaves like an 18 year old in my opinion.

This week I’m getting all books with awesome covers!

  4. is this the first delayed book of the new DCU? I remember it being on time with Superboy which came out last week

  5. I really like where this is going. I like how her hair is on the shortish side. I wonder if they’re doing some kind of Supergirl/PowerGirl mash up. However, I do like it and hope to get hooked over the next few issues. I want to stay on long term, but slow burn can be done too slow.

  6. I love this series, but really miss the skirt. The onezie isn’t working for me LOL

  7. Enjoying the ride. Much thanks to Word Balloon for the quickie interview w/Mahmud Asrar.

    Good Stuff!

  8. I’m enjoying it much more than the Loeb/Turner interation. I don’t get the decompression that others are referencing. I mean — Superman is issue #2. Bendis would have waited for issue #6. The artwork is very good — and I think will only get better. One of the best things about DCnU is the range of artwork.

  9. Meat is added to the plot but the art suffered a little bit at the beginning. Good superhero book still.

  10. I’m hoping this book can show me something special. I’m really on the fence with this one.

  11. Geez I just can’t drop this. This wasvanother solid issue 4/5. Hopefully I’ll get a better feel to where it’s going next issue and determine its fate on my pull list.

  12. I’m still digging this. I never read any other Supergirl origin so the fish out of water aspect feels fresh to me. I’ve gotta say though, I’m starting to miss the skirt.

  13. cant believe how good this is. I really like the new powers supergirl attained

  14. Kinda pissed, because my retailer didn’t get this last week. I really hope they have a copy waiting for me. It’s bad enough when Diamond short-ships on obscure Dynamite titles, but this is getting ridiculous.

  15. Looks like I was wrong about Mr. Luthor having his hand in this. I am sure at some point he will be; he is way to smart and way to obssessed with all things Superman not to. I gave this issue a 4; the continued conflict for Supergirl coming to the reality of her homing being destroyed and everything she knows has changed drasticly almost over night shows thru. Then she is just so powerful yet very niave which gets her caught. I like this snobby new villian and the way he is taking advantage of her some quickly speaks volumes of her distractions and the reality of getting super powers all over night and not knowing how to use them. Enjoy!
