  1. This is a really boring story so far–especially compared to the first arc/Owls tie -in.

  2. I’m dropping this after this issue. I have to make some adjustments for financial reasons and this is towards the bottom of my list. Makes me sad, I’m a lifelong Grayson fan. But the fact is this title is doing nothing for me.

  3. Kinda bummed this isn’t a new version of Anarchy. But I’ll still go into this issue with an open mind.

  4. Wheelhands, I’m in the same boat. I’ve had a proclivity to buy all the Bat books if they were even remotely good, but I don’t think I can do this anymore. Too much other stuff out there that is more interesting and different

    • I TOTALLY agree. I was in the same boat. My OCD issues forced me to get all the Bat Family books. I have since dropped Batwing, Birds of Prey. And just dropped Red Hood and the Outlaws and Batman Beyond Unlimited. If a title isn’t doing it for me I am dropping it. Might as well try new things once in a while. I decided to pick up Amazing Spider Man and loved it!

I am liking Nightwing though. Dick Grayson is awesome. I am looking forward to reading this issue.

    • This is going to be my last arc, unfortunately. I love the character as well, but there’s nothing exceptional with the book right now. I hate having comic OCD, but I need to cut back and catch up on other great stuff I haven’t read.

  5. This book is hard for me to pin down. It seems like before each issue comes out, I’m wishy-washy about whether to continue picking it up, but then after reading it I’m usually pretty happy that I did. The thing is, I like following Dick’s adventures; he’s a cool character who’s easy to root for, but eleven issues in I still just don’t know one way or the other. I’m still on board, but I hope things improve soon.

I agree that the art wasn’t so great this issue. I didn’t hate it as much as some, but I’m not a fan of mulleted, boyish looking Nightwing/Dick (at first I wrote only Dick, and then nearly did a spit-take. Even with the right context, that is a terrible sentence). I realize Barrows can’t draw every issue, but any fill-in artist should at least keep things similar design wise.

    • When I read your second paragraph back to myself, I laughed until I hurt. How embarrassing would it have been if you hadn’t noticed? (I’m still laughing)

    • Haha, yeah that would’ve been a bummer. I usually read over my posts because I’m a grammar/spelling snob, now I have another reason.

  6. This issue was pretty average. I will be happy to see this storyline wrapped up. Seems like most of them are wrapping up before the #0 issues come out in September. It will be interesting to see where the new story arcs take us this fall.

  7. Nightwing #11 has a lot going on. A cool fight against the Republic of Tomorrow, character building moments for Dick, Sonia Zucco, Robin, and Det Nie. Also, that Paragon dude is insane. Higgins is building a huge overarching story that is both exciting and entertaining.
