  1. Can’t wait for this!

  2. This was awesome! The first story was worth the four bucks alone. Short stories have always had the ability to deliver that quick satisfying punch. Reminds me a little of the concept behind Black and White.

  3. I picked up the Variant Copy…..cover by Stephen Platt. Now……I’ve been a Batman fan for years…….and the story “The Butler Did it” was a pisser. The art wasn’t the best but the story had a good point! I’ve been a Stephen Platt fan for years……damn I’m old; but he’s been kinda out of the game for awhile and now he’s making a come back! The Variant Cover has an awesome Joker but the Batman is out of proportion; but still cool!!!!

    • Do you need Platt’s earlier work on Marc Spector Moon Knight series? I’ve got all but one of his issues, 55-60, if u are interested.

  4. I can’t wait to read this now!

  5. i absolutely loved the Butler did it, i mean all three stories were excellent but that was the one that made it easily worth the price to get….would be hands down potw if it wasnt for daredevil: end of days. 5 Stars from me.

  6. Maybe it is just me, but when I hear people enamored with “The Butler Did It” I have to wonder… that was as simple and straightforward as they come. The art was cool at times but that’s about all. I picked it up digitally for $0.99 and felt it was barely worth it, and people are saying it alone was worth the $4. I think this is a cool project and I’m supporting it fully, but either standards have really gotten that low or I’m from a different planet.

    • I loved the art. But, storywise the ending was telegraphed so it didn’t have the impact it should’ve. It’s an artistic choice to have Alfred be willing to do that to Batman, but it just doesn’t work for me. I don’t know that Alfred and I’ve read a lot of Batman comics. Anyway, still enjoyed it in spite of all that.

  7. Was going to go with Earth 2 then i read this. After the 12 part dragging out of AvX it was like the perfect antidote, 3 full stories told perfectly. great art too. Fantastic. I think i would like to read a few more one and dones and some anthologies for a while.

  8. Read all these digitally and LOVED them! 5/5 POTW (even though technically it’s pick of the 3 or 4 months ago.)

  9. “My daughter is still sick” … “Work it out”

Wow – Batman was kind of a dick in all of these stories – drunk, arrogant and completely lacking in empathy.

    Nice!

  10. I loved all 3 stories in this. Great, classic Batman stuff.
