  1. Damn this books is just moving at rappid speed. Issue 3 was out last week. That’s just crazy.

  2. Ariel Olivetti? Well that’s a big step down…

  3. Yeah, it really is. What happened to Kitson?

  4. This seems cool, but it has until issue 6 to wow me. At the price it seems worth it, but something must be culled!

  5. @TNC and Diabol     Agreed. His art almost killed Hercules for me.  And considering I was only luke warm on this series, this might be it…

  6. @AlanRob: At least that was a two issue mini to bridge series. It looks like Olivetti is taking over for the art for good judging from the July solicts.

  7. So sad to see the art team of Kitson, Kano an Di Giandomenico gone. Hopefully Spencer’s storytelling will help fill the artless void.

  8. I must be in the minority,  but I find Olivetti’s art to be completely unique among comic artists.  I could see how it’s not for everybody, but on some books (Namor most recently) it adds a great other-world feel; definitely worth a shot.

  9. Kitson contracted pneumonia, which is why Spencer’ s artist on THUNDER agents, Kano, stepped in to help.

I’m willing to judge this issue once I see it in full this afternoon.

  10. this was great

  11. I was unfamiliar with this artist, but I hope he works on his backgrounds for future issues. Flat concrete walls and digital pictures put through photoshop filters are not very compelling.

  12. @scallionsncreme Olivetti’s backgrounds are always like that.

That being said I think I’m one of the few people that actually enjoys his art.  I came into comics right after civil war, and Matt Fraction’s Punisher War Journal with Olivetti was awesome.

I like the idea of this issue, and I recognized that Spencer was taking a chance on that much exposition, but i just do not know if it was executed in a manner I enjoyed.  I guess I wanted more Rhodey, which sounds silly, I know.  I’m a little lenient considering the quality of the proceeding issues and the fact that Fear Itself is rolling in next issue though… Plus we get Rhodes, and the Immortal Iron Fist cast?!  Awesome.
