INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #23

Things are grim in Broxton, Oklahoma as the Ghost moves in for the kill — and the only thing between him and Tony Stark is a shell-shocked Maria Hill and a half-conscious Pepper Potts, fresh out of surgery. And deep in the recesses of Tony’s mind, Dr. Strange and Stark get down and dirty with the tyrant king running the show and laying waste to Tony’s consciousness. Where are they? What’s happening? And why can’t Tony remember the Iron Man?

  1. Hey! Pink and purple. Very cool!

  2. the last few issues have had these awesome modern covers, but i keep getting the variant covers in my pull bin

  3. @viceversa I got the last variant just cause i love Doc Strange, mostly though i’ll be getting the regular covers

  4. @Viceversa-My LCS does the same thing. I just put those issues back on the stands and pick up the sweet looking modern cover treatments instead. They don’t mind.

  5. alright wacky dream sequence!

  6. I’m more than a little tired with the dream squence/subconscience stuff.  Ready for Tony to just be back.

  7. @darthduck  i’m enjoying the mystery of why he’s trapped in his head and all messed up

  8. @darth
I’m kind of over the dream stuff as well

  9. Avatar photo PymSlap (@alaska_nebraska) says:

@viceversa – keeps happening to me too

  10. @viceversa & @drakedangerz: Same here, my LCS keeps giving me the other cover. The modern covers remind me of Hickman’s stuff. I missed out on the last issue because my LCS didn’t get enough and was told they could order more. 🙁

  11. I maintain that there is more to the dream sequences than meets the eye and we will find out what it all means in the end.

  12. I WISH I could get the varients.

  13. My LCS pulls both covers for me and I pick, its the shit.  This is the title I’m most excited for in  "The Heroic Age". Since Tony has played "The Prick" for the last few years, it will be interesting to see how Fraction continues to reendear him to the public and us readers.

  14. C’mon Tony!

    Aw! My Eyes!

  15. Yup, the dreams are significant.

  16. Is it just me or are the robots Tony is seeing in his dreams the same ones Steve Rogers flashed to at the end of Reborn #6? That could be an interesting connection.

  17. @USPUNX that’s an interesting thought, but I’m not sure they are connected in any way.  I’ll have to go back and read it to be sure.

  18. Guess what? I’m excited for this book.

  19. I smell Pick of the Week!

    Well, for me, anyway. 🙂

  20. @uspunx
    interesting…

  21. What’s with the rating of 1?

  22. im guessing only one person (hmmm akumu?) has rated it, and from that rating i’m guessing the reader REALLY liked it!

  23. Sabotage!

  24. My LCS didn’t have this but had all the other Marvel titles.  Not sure how that one worked out…

  25. Sold out at my Local Comic store….

  26. @darth did you read about the accident? If you are on the east coast a bunch of marvel books were damaged in an acident.

  27. So where did Cap go?

Overall it was a solid read, but this arc just isn’t as much fun as the last one. It’s good, but I’m ready for it to be over and want to see what Fraction has planned next.

  28. @drake cap was in Brooklyn gathering up the avengers etc.

  29. So he came and let Thor hit his shield, then left to get Dr. Strange, then came back with Strange, then left again after Maria Hill told him that they were under attack? How does that make any sense?

  30. I live in Michigan and was aware of the accident.  I thought it involved many more titles so I was just confused on why they had everything but Iron Man.

  31. Poor Rhodey, he finally gets a new body and already has a hole blown into it!

  32. @cubman987-haha, nice one.

  33. It’s not just the East Coast. My LCS didn’t get this and I’m n Nevada.

  34. Good as usual, but couldn’t compete with Seige. The Potts/Hill sequence was both amusing, but almost felt a little forced.

  35. I didn’t get this. Screw you truck driver!

  36. my shop’s books come from Plattsburgh and I got everything, so lucky

  37. Rick Remender sais he keeps the word "velocity" in mind when he writes.  This book has been the exact opposite for about a year.
