After missing out on the last issue (due to lack of copies at the comic shop), I decided to go ahead and read the new issue.  It appears I didn’t miss anything other than Doc Strange showing up.  I loved the Most Wanted story arc and continued read this book with great anticipation. However, I felt this book fell flat for me.  I’d wish Tony would have been back as Ironman after they jump started him.  I thought Fraction had Tony do enough soul searching in the previous arc.  I do like Salvador Larroca’s realistic style art.  It really shined during the scenes with Maria Hill and Pepper when they were discussing Tony. Their expressions are priceless.  One complaint I have about Larroca’s art is that many of his character can come off looking the same.  Previously this was evident with Pepper and Natasha the Black Widow.  In this issue I had a hard time telling Tony and Dr. Strange apart.  In all, this feels like a transitional story to me and doesn’t really stand on its own.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. It’s cool that you were able to pick up the issue and not feel lost. And the fact that this issue felt flat to you too is testament to the fact that this storyline is just not as strong as the last. Thankfully, it wraps up next month.
