  1. I have never bought Deadpool and I won’t be buying this. In fact I’ll may quit Thunderbolts too.

  2. Why is everyone hatin on this crossover!? I mean I dont read Thunderbolts reguarly and I dont know who the cast is.

But it’s Daniel Way, Paco Medina, and Deadpool. What more do you want?

  3. This might be my last issue.

  4. yeah im amped for this one. i guess the only ones who are excited over this are deadpool fans

  5. I’ve never been a big Deadpool fan until it was restarted recently.  Each issue is funny and fun.  The art is great in it.  I’m not sure why folks are hating on it either, but this is definitely one of my pics!

  6. im with TNC on this one. i love deadpool and thunderbolts so why NOT get them to crossover??

  7. Eesh…I wish I hadn’t had my shop order me this.  Thunderbolts has been crap, and I’m thinking this won’t be great.

  8. a hewy lewis crossover must be done as well

  9. I’m glad I’m reading Deadpool already cuz I’m digging on Thunderbolts and am looking forward to this crossover.

I don’t see why people don’t like Thunderbolts. The writing is strong.

However, I wasn’t reading Thunderbolts much before so maybe it is what has been done to the team . . .

Ellis’s run was a bit above average and the few copies of older Thunderbolts stuff I read (somewhere in the 100-109 sucked.

I’m not exactly sure what people are missing.

  10. I tell ya what, this crossover isnt gonna make me want to get Thunderbolts on a regular basis.

Unless Diggle somehow makes Way’s issues look like crap then there’s no reason for me to get the series. I know it’s only been two issues for Diggle so far on Thunderbolts….but with that type of leap in quality (if the podcast and some other reviewers are to be believed) then that isnt a good sign.

Still I hope this is as good as advertised cause this is the only thing I have been looking forward too since Dark Reign started.

  11. I’m only buying Deadpool for this crossover and will drop it after, and if it doesn’t work I’ll drop Thunderbolts, too.

I’m pretty easy to please: All I want are Deadpool and Ireredeemable Ant-Man wisecrackin’ and a story that makes more sense than, oh, most of what DC thinks is important these days. If they can’t pull that off, I’m gone.

  12. @ScorpionMasada: Thunderbolts was my single favorite supers book, period, until Warren Ellis took over…then it became, like most things Ellis writes, very smug and satisfied with itself…then it became Dark Avengers…now, Thunderbolts is a c-list villain book (again) but without the talents of Kurt Busiek to elevate it like he did in the beginning.

  13. I thought last issue was a bit weak, so hopefully this issue ramps the humour factor back up! I’ve never read & have no real knowledge of the Thunderbolts, so I hope I can keep up with this story. I may need your help iFanbase!

  14. Deadpool is hilarious. Why do some people feel such a strong aversion to this character? I understand that there are different stroked for different folks, but with Deadpool it seems to be different.  There seems to be a lot of talk about "Deadpool fans" like they are some strange breed.

My only gripse with this book so far is that Tiger Shark is kind of a lame villain. Although, that’s all part of the humor I suppose.

  15. Atleast this crossover springs from an actual plot point and not some shoehorned money grab. This has the potential to be very good, so I’m definitely along for the ride. I did drop T-bolts a few months ago because I don’t want much to do with Dark Reign, but I’ll buy the T-bolts issues for this.

  16. idk why people are complainning. this crossover was set up for a while. Plus I m waiting for the big two confrontations deadpool vs black widdow and deadpool vs antman. Come on a sexy assasin in black leather and a guy who will probably suck up to dp

  17. I love Deadpool.  I have just never read anything written by Daniel Way that wasn’t mediocre, at best.

  18. random note i hope the bring in thypoid mary since shes in avengers intiative  and i think that books ending soon anyway

  19. Basically the whole reason for this comic existing (as of right now) is for this crossover. Yes it started as a SI tie-in but the whole premise since issue 3 was getting back at Osborn….Even if Deadpool didnt remember his name for the last 4 issues.

  20. So excited for this, and to see how Diggle writes DP in the T-Bolts.  DP has been hilarious, fun, and action-packed since the beginning, and I’m digging the new T-Bolts as well, so this crossover is perfect for me.

  21. @TheNextChampion-And the problem with that is….? Seriously, when people start talking about the purpose of a comic, it makes me laugh. None of these books have a real purpose. What’s the purpose of Daredevil? Or Spider-Man? They have no purpose other than to be entertaining.

  22. @shogunt: I’m just saying why Deadpool is in this crossover in general. Cause I think some people are confused why this is happening in the first place.

This was a good issue, not great, but good. It basically is setting up the rest of the crossover….but I had fun with it. That vision of Osborn in ‘Pool-O-Vision’ was the highlight for me.

It’ll be interesting to see how Diggle can cope with writing Deadpool.

  23. If I had to put my money on the more accomplished writer, I’d put it on Diggle over Way.

I think he will handle Deadpool fine.

  24. @Scorpion: We’ll see. Deadpool is a character that can seems to be only written by a specific writer.

Joe Kelly and Daniel Way have been the best so far….at least for Way so far he has been one of the best. I cant remember who did ‘Cable & Deadpool’ (I should but I forgot) but he/she had a good voice for Wade as well. Other then those three writers, I cant think of anyone else who has written Deadpool in a good way.

  25. …yeah i REALLY REALLY didnt like this one seemed like it was still setting up the crossover and the inside jokes are very hackey at this point.

@TNC when did joe kelly write deadpool? is it in trades

  26. @peterporker: I’m not sure about which trades. But Deadpool Classics that recently came out has some of his issues in it.

It was the mid 90’s when he wrote it.

Fabian Nicieza! That’s who wrote ‘Cable & Deadpool’…stupid me I should’ve known that

  27. So the big secret that Deadpool retrieved, and Osborn stole, was that in order to kill the queen you need to shoot her in the head?

  28. @cman: Yeah you know that is really bugging me at this point.

It was brought up first in Deadpool and it really makes no sense…What info did Osborn really need to kill the queen? All he did was shoot her in the head….ANYONE could’ve done that! Unless the plans had stuff about ships or how to defeat waves of enemies…makes no sense what so ever.

  29. That was light years better than Diggle’s T-Bolts have been.  That may have sold me on buying Deadpool in PLACE of Thunderbolts.

    Good job, Marvel.

  30. i think the secret to killing the queen was some sort of tech that osborne then incorparated into the gun he used to kill her.

  31. I hope I’m not gonna be too lost next issue, as I do not by Thunderbolts, and I refuse to buy books I don’t ordinarily buy just for crossovers. I’m not falling into that trap again.

  32. This series was GREAT for the first five issues. The last three, this one included, have been pretty medicore. The gags and jokes seemed reused and the action isn’t all that interesting. If this book doesn’t turn around by the end of this crossover I might be done with Deadpool next month.
