  1. I was going to stick with trades with this, but I can’t resist the Kingpin.

  2. Do you think this is a good jumping on point? All I know about Daredevil is what I saw in the movie and he died in last issue of Ultimate Spiderman.

  3. It’s the start of a new arc and it will have the recap page in the front. So I guess this is about as good as a new jumping on point for this book as you can get.

  4. no micheal lark!?

  5. Agh. I’m considering jumping back on if only for David Aja’s art. Must…resist…temptation…and…tradewait…

  6. Don’t wait for the trade. Join usssssss!

  7. saw the preview arts on newsarama/cbr… cannot wait to read this.

  8. This issue is make-or-break for me regarding this series. If Brubaker can’t make me care about Daredevil again by using the Kingpin, there’s no hope. I’ll check out this arc when it’s traded, though, if it receives rave reviews after the fact.

@robby: It’s probably a decent jumping on point, but if you’ve never read any Daredevil before I’d recommend spending money on the old Frank Miller trades instead (especially Visionaries Vol. 2).

  9. @flapjaxx born again by frank miller is also awesome

  10. finally!! we are back to classic daredevil vs kingpin. oh man i cant wait. so glad i jumped on this with issue 100

  11. Aja’s art alone makes me want to pick this up!!  That guy is fantastic

  12. I was gonna jump off after the Lady Bullseye arc, but I’ll give this one a shot.

  13. David Aja on DD, I’m gong to have to stop saving for the wedding just for this week.

  14. Also, Bendis’s DD run, and Brubaker’s first arc, "Devil In Cell Block D" are 5 stars

  15. One of the most solid comics right now (with Scalped and Ultimate Spider-Man; nothing a else has been this consistent in both art and story)

  16. @Kory Im with you on that. After bendis I started to go on in trades but now i may buy this issue for the return of the kingpin

  17. Aja is only on for this one issue.

  18. Great, now marvel’s even putting Bendis on thier covers!!! Man, has he put on weight. 🙂

  19. holy cr@p!  this is the moment i’ve been waiting so long for and it’s finally here!

  20. This wasn’t inked by AJA or colored by Hollingsworth…. still very pretty though

  21. Any time I see the name Marta, all I think about is Arrested Development.

  22. SO good, SO good. I am so happy David Aja is back on this book!! this was SUCH a good issue. POTW worthy!!

  23. Good God, what a fantastic issue. I must have stared for two minutes at the page with Spider-Man, DD and Bullseye. So, so pretty.

  24. Definitely my pick of the week.  Of course I did only read three books.  Damn price hikes!

    The Daredevil/Spider-Man/Bullseye page was awesome.

  25. "nothing a else has been this consistent in both art and story"

Consistently boring.  The excitement has been gone.  I haven’t read this issue, but every other Brubaker story.  The run before this was much better.

  26. this issue was sold out :-/

  27. I was very bored with this series coming into this issue. I am very much NOT bored now. Captain America is still lagging, but I’m waaaay back on board for DD now.

  28. This feels an awful lot like how excited I was during Brubakers first DD arc. I, like many, was on the verge of dropping this, but I am IN.

  29. I shall henceforth refer to Kingpin as "Uncle Wheelie"

  30. I wanted to like this and I have to admire the craft — David Aja rules — but I couldn’t help feeling I’ve seen this exact story too many times before.  It does make me anticipate Matt & Kingpin meeting up again, but it also convinces me I can wait for the trade to see how it happens.

  31. Just loved this.  Art amazing and so great to have isk back in this book.  His relationship/enmity with Daredevil is one of those endless things like Bats and the Joker/Spidey and Osborne. It may seem familiar, but it’s just the way it is.  Can’t wait for next issue after seeing the cover preview.

  32. christ, this was shit. i dropped this title with this issue.

  33. This was simply amazing, especially if you have been reading since Bendis’ run.

I can’t wait to see what happens next.

  34. its good to see dd be a pick for me again. i havent been this happy since bendis left.

  35. After everyone liked it, I picked this up a week late. I really liked the art and the story was also good.  I’ve been thinking of going back and picking these up in $1 issues.
