    DAREDEVIL #29
    THE WAKE #3
    WHAT IF… AVX #4

Having just gotten back from a weekend trip with Mrs. Pyynk, both my wallet and I are quite grateful for what looks to be a light week. It may get even lighter because while I’ve been enjoying the story in What If?, the art in the last issue was a little rocky for me and it appears that this issue is by the same art team.

BQ: I foresee a lot of people answering with Gotham City, despite years and years of comics, tv shows, movies, and movie serials where terribly bad things happen in Gotham. I’d go with the Portland from Portlandia, except there is a real world equivalent, so it feels like cheating. Lovecraft Country is out (too cold, madness), most places in the DCU and Marvel Universe are out (alien invasions, etc), and I’d end up spare parts in Chiba City. Instead, I think I’ll continue Paul’s TV trend with Fantasy Island.

  12. BATMAN ANNUAL #2
    UNCANNY X-MEN #9
    X-MEN #3
    THE WAKE #3
    SEX #5

BQ: Oldtown, Seat of House Hightower, in Westeros.

    Bedlam
    Captain Marvel
    Chin Music
    Collider
    DareDevil
    FF
    Five Ghost
    Hulk
    Sex
    The Wake
    Uncanny X-Men
    X-Men
BQ: The town in Game of Thrones that Callisie gets her dragons stolen from her. That place looks pretty suite.

  14. BQ: Cloud City or perhaps somewhere on Naboo.

  15. Batman Annual
    The Flash Annual
    Animal Man Annual
    Batman Inc
Tom Strong and the planet of peril

Three annuals, it must be a fifth wednesday.

BQ: HalloweenTown. From Nightmare Before Christmas.

  16. Big week for me. I’m not dropping anything, but may be dropping DETECTIVE in the near future. I had intended to stop after issue 1 of WAKE, but after hearing about #2, I picked it up and am now interested to see the mini-series to its completion. Also, GUARDIANS #5 is a one-time thing for me. I’m nostalgic about Angela and just want to see what the dang deal is. Giving COLLIDER a shot. I had a chance to pre-order for half-price so I figured “why not?” I’ve actually never read all of Morrison’s ANIMAL MAN run, so I’m really looking forward to getting the HC Omnibus (although using Amazon I won’t be getting it this week). I’m also strongly considering picking up the BATMAN INC #13 variant cover by Morrison. I’ve never paid extra for a variant, but I think this will be a nice capstone to a run that I’ve really enjoyed over the years.

    ANIMAL MAN OMNIBUS HC
    BATMAN ANNUAL #2
    BATMAN INCORPORATED #13
BATMAN: ZERO YEAR #1 DIRECTOR’S CUT
    COLLIDER #1
    DAREDEVIL #29
    DETECTIVE COMICS ANNUAL #2
    GUARDIAN’S OF THE GALAXY #5
    UNCANNY X-MEN #9
    THE WAKE #3
    X-MEN #3

    BQ: Bedford Falls

  17. You still have 2 annoying bugs in your pull list code. First, when I go to the “your comics”, it shows this weeks pulls but last week’s date. So when I print it off, it actually prints last week’s comics. So I have to click on this week’s date to get it to print this week’s comics.

2nd, when I print to PDF, it defaults the file name to “Pullist for toddhuish.pdf”. Who is this Todd Huish, that is not my name.

    • ” First, when I go to the “your comics”, it shows this weeks pulls but last week’s date. So when I print it off, it actually prints last week’s comics. So I have to click on this week’s date to get it to print this week’s comics.”

This has been bothering me forever too but wasn’t sure who to contact about it.

    • Avatar photo Paul Montgomery (@fuzzytypewriter) says:

We can look into the first thing.

As for the second, this isn’t how we’d hoped you’d find out. Before we say anything else, you should probably call your parents. We’ll be right here when you get back.

    • LOL

    • LOL, I assume Todd Huish worked on your website at some point, probably during the upgrade to the latest design. As I had googled him and he is a web designer.

  18. Guardians of the Galaxy
    Luther Strode
    Uncanny X-Men
    Bedlam (Always stoked for Bedlam)
The Wake (Barely holding my interest, but enough to keep me reading)
Collider ( Eh, it’s a light week so I’ll give it a shot)

BQ: 2019 Los Angeles from Blade Runner.

  19. Short but sweet week for me.

    INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK #11
    THE WAKE #3
    UNCANNY X-MEN #9

    DAREDEVIL #29

BQ: Probably… no, definitely: Anjelica Huston’s slave planet, just after Captain EO has transformed it into a paradise using his powers of song, dance, and love. I’d be so happy if I could frolic there in my later years.

  28. Pretty big week for me, but a lot of high quality stuff, so I’m excited. I’m really looking forward to Collider, what I’ve read about it sounds intriguing. More DD and FF is always a good thing. Conclusions to Luther Strode and BPRD: Vampire should be great.

The best news for me this week though, is NEW OPTIC NERVE! I didn’t realize this was coming out, but I caught up with everything late last year, and I can’t wait to get my hands on more.

    Animal Man Annual
    BPRD: Vampire
    Capt. Midnight
    Collider
    DD
    FF
    Optic Nerve
    Luther Strode
    The Wake

BQ: Good question……after contemplating this for three straight hours I’ve come to the conclusion that I’d want to retire in Pawnee, IN. I’d get a part-time gig at the Parks and Rec Dept. and enjoy every day till my inevitable death

  29. Just Dredevil and FF for me his week. Pretty light!

BQ: it’s a toss up between Galt’s Gulch from Atlas Shrugged and Springfield from the Simpsons

  30. Daredevil, Angel & Faith…..

    X-Men #3

  32. Batman Annual
    Batman Incorporated
    Daredevil
    Indestructible Hulk

    BQ: Hobbiton

  35. Batman Inc
    Daredevil
    Indestructible Hulk

I might give Optic Nerve a try if I can find it.

Oh and, I’d spend my retirement in Smallviile, at least, after Superman’s debut so there aren’t any meteor freaks around.

  36. Annual Man
    Bedlam
    Collider
    5 Ghosts
    The Wake
    X-Men

bq: either ooo, or Newbridge, NJ home of The Best Show on WFMU

  37. Big week for me, plus, I have a couple books from last week to get as well, and I may pick up the second Saga trade so I can be caught up before the series resumes next month (good thing I got a credit coming to me at the store on Wednesday)

I’m definitely getting Sex, Daredevil, Batman Incorporated, Batman Annual & Animal Annual. I may put off the The Wake until next week. I may drop Guardians of the Galaxy in favor of trying Collider. Not sure. They’ll be a few in store decision this week . . .

BQ: Never really thought about this. Off the top of my head, how about Wes Anderson’s version of New York from The Royal Tenenbaums?

  38. Avatar photo ochsavidare (@ochsavidare) says:

Really excited for the Wake, that series is my new favorite! I’m also getting Tom strong, but I’m not really sure how I feel about it not being written by Moore.

BQ: Twin peaks! Mostly for the coffee, the cherry pie and those majestic Douglas fir. I’ve also heard that its not to hard to find a clean place to stay that is reasonably priced.

  39. Crazy big week this week and my shop didn’t receive like half my books so I’ve got them to pick up to. Gonna be nasty.

BQ~ I’d want to end up maybe on Endor. Away from the ewoks though.

    Angel & Faith #24
    Adventures of Superman #3
    Flash Annual #2
    Daredevil #29
    X-Men #3

    Batman Inc. #13
    Daredevil #29
    Detective Comics Annual #2
    Indestructible Hulk #11

  44. Batman Annual #2
    Batman Inc #13
    Animal Man Annual #2
    The Wake #3
    Captain Midnight #1

    Dropping Guardians of the Galaxy

  45. I’m a bit late this week but better late then never I guess.

    EARTH 2 #15
    GREEN ARROW #23
    SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN #2
    THE MOVEMENT #4
    TRILLIUM #1
TRINITY OF SIN: THE PHANTOM STRANGER #11

I might also finally get round to picking up that Hawkeye annual and then I may get on board Hawkeye itself. We shall see.
