  2. Definitely most looking forward to The Rocketeer Adventures 2 and Batman.

BQ: Jim’s Deli in Brighton MA, the Irish Breakfast with the black pudding and chocolate milk. I only allow myself to get it once a year or so because it’s too meaty and delicious to be good for me.

  3. Batman #7
    Catwoman #1
    Hack/Slash #14
    Justice League #7
    Kick-Ass 2 #7

    Batman #7
    Nightwing #7
Thunderbolts #….whatever it is I can’t remember off the top of my head.

BQ: McDonalds Pancakes with two hashbrowns. I could eat their hashbrowns forever.

  5. Super light week, just Fables, might pick up Batman as well ’cause I’ve heard such great things.

BQ: Pemeal Bacon & Hasbrowns, made by me, because it is delicious

    • If you’re picking up batman, you might want to pick up like the last 6 issues maybe. It’s in the middle of the story arc right now.

    • The hardcover has the first 6 and it’s out in May, so I’m just going to grab them all from now on, haven’t much time to read comics until then anyhow, but thanks for the advice.

  6. BQ: Ideal breakfast, crisp bacon w/ scrambled eggs & warm fluffy buttermilk biscuits. Actual breakfast, a honey bun or small blueberry muffins.

    Matthew

  7. Mainly all about Batman, although Wonder Woman, Wolverine and Thunder Agents should be sweet…still not a banner week.
BQ: Fresh cooked pain au chocolat with black coffee bought on the streets of Paris on a bright summer morning, after a rainy night…

  8. It’s gonna be weird getting back to normal comics this week, no BKV 🙁

    BQ: “Bacon, crisp almost cremated”

    WONDER WOMAN #7

I’m a big fan of the Atkins diet..Fresh fruits and a healty protein shake,,,body is my temple

  10. Light week for me with just 6 books.

  11. Lookin’ forward to Batman, Wonder Woman, Wolverine, and Hellblazer.

BQ: Two scrambled eggs with melted cheese and tons of pepper, two hash browns, a bagel with strawberry jam, and as much fatty bacon as they’re willing to give me.

May check out Supercrooks…could use a cool mini-series and Millar is always fun. Anyone heard any good things?

  14. Aww… now I want pancakes!!!

    And I already had breakfast.

    There will be consequences!

(I’m go make some tea and a muffin.)

Lamb chop, Irish bacon, puddings and sausage, fried eggs, fried tomato, white toast buttered, coffee (two each), and a glass of water.

Stack o’ flapjacks, on the side. Buckwheat if ya got ’em. With maple syrup.

Othewise just a Marlboro and a slice of pie.

Comic Book Pulls: More mail order than ever. Less DC all the time. And a more select selection.

  17. BPRD: Hell on Earth – The Long Death #2
    Batman #7
John Carter: The Gods of Mars #1
    JL #7
    Prophet #23
    Ragemoor #1
    Supergirl #7
    Wonder Woman #7

BQ: A bowl of Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berry

  18. Dawn Of The Jedi #2 – Of the utmost importance.
Batman #7 – Also, very excited.
    Peter Panzerfaust 2nd PTG #1 – Heard it’s excellent.

BQ: Bacon. I like bacon a lot.

  19. BQ: Brioche! I highly recommend making your own from scratch. It requires a little time and a little love but it can be stored frozen and used later as a base for many a tasty treat. My favorites are pain aux raisins and brioche au chocolat…delish!

  20. Nice, light, six book week. Super stoked for Prophet #23 and BPRD. The Goon’s always good for a laugh whenever it shows up, as well.

BQ: Black coffee. Black as midnight on a moonless night.

  21. Well, thanks to Scott Snyder et al, I now have to buy my copy of BATMAN in print for fear of any future reading tricks that would confound my digital reading of the title. Thanks, Scott – we’re murdering more trees together. At least you write a damn fine comic book.

My excitement for WONDER WOMAN still persists even though I feel her title is suffering from Too-Many-Minor-Characters-Syndrome. Hopefully this month we’ll get more Diana for our money.

JUSTICE LEAGUE sounds like it’ll be an interesting read this month. It may not be a perfect title but I still have fun reading it!

BQ: I’m a good valley jew, my ideal breakfast is lox and bagels with fresh orange juice. And white fish too 😛

  22. justice league, batman, wonder woman

BQ: creole eggs benedict/florentine with country potatoes louisiana style and a side of benyas. coffee, black

  23. Batman
    Wonder Woman
    Justice League

    The Goon
    BPRD: The Long Death

BQ: a proper lumberjack’s breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hashbrowns, toast (and/or pancakes) & a bottomless cup of coffee:)

  24. Batman (last moths), Infinite Vacation, Smoke and Mirrors and Near Death.

Dropping Wonder Woman, started decent enough but I lost the plot the last few issues, will come back if I hear it gets good.

BQ: Good old Full English for me. Never do though, got to watch the waistline at my age.

  25. Homemade pancakes, real maple syrup and high end bacon with fresh orange juice.

  26. Finally it’s Batman week. My favorite part of the month. So many titles to look forward to this week.

    Batman
    Wonder Woman
    Justice League
    Amazing Spider-man
    Nightwing

Batman continues. Cliff Chiang’s return to Wonder Woman. Shazam in Justice League. New event in Spidey. And the conclusion to the Nightwing story arc. This week might top last week for awesome things in comics. If only Saga came out this week, then it would be perfect.

    BQ: Mmmmmm…bay cohn.

  27. Is it wrong that I’m looking forward to see how Avengers: X-Sanguination is going to limp its way to the finish line? It ticked off almost every box in Comic Cliche Bingo, and portrayed the Avengers in the most questionable manner than I have ever seen. I read it so you don’t have to, folks.

But yeah, on my thankfully-longer non-shitty list I have X-Factor #233, which is going to give us the first long term exposure to Havok and Polaris since they came home from space. Normally I’d be concerned with Peter David ballooning his cast even more from the gargantuan behemoth it is now, but he’s been doing it pretty deftly for the year or so without any signs of cracking, so what the hell…let’s pile a few more on. I did love Havok in his old X-Factor series, anyway.

BQ: Irish bacon and a new discovery of mine…Red Velvet Pancakes with butter pecan syrup. Add that with a nice Cranberry bellini, and I’m good to go for the day.

    • No, I’m getting Avengers: X-Sanction too. I kinda just want to see how it ends, and I dont. know. why.

      Sometimes, I confuse myself

    • Same here on Avengers X-Sanction. I am a fan of Ed’s artwork, even though its super cartoony and over-exaggerated, so that is one of the few main draws for me. I just want to see how it ends and hopefully Spidey’s interactions with Wolverine fighting Cable will be worth the read in laughs.

  28. Pretty good week, but I’m most looking forward to Ends of the Earth and Supercrooks.

    ASM
    X-Sanction
    Batman
    Heart
    JL
    Near Death
    Peanuts
    Steed & Ms. Peel
    Supercrooks

BQ: Chorizo with a few different peppers, hashbrowns or home fries, onions, shredded cheese, eggs over medium, rye toast with jam, milk and coffee.

  29. Actually, I need to change my answer. If anyone doesn’t have an ideal breakfast, here you go…I have the correct answer to the BQ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZDv9pgHp8Q&feature=relmfu

  30. Avengers: X-Sanction #4, Batman #7, Catwoman #7, Deadpool #52, Justice League #7, Nightwing #7, Red Hood and the Outlaws #7, The Amazing Spider-Man #682, Wolverine #303

  31. Batman #7 ! i’m really digging what Snyder and Capullo are doing on that title.

My ideal breakfast is pretty simple. I just want scrambled eggs (with a little green chili or spicy flavor in there), high quality bacon and a fresh out of the oven everything bagel. Bring me some extra dark, black as the depths of space coffee and i’m good to go. =)

  32. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #682 – I am SO excited for this story, its almost comical. I’ve been waiting on a great Sinister Six comic since I was a little kid, and I think the creative team of Slott/Caselli/Ramos will be the ones to deliver. Can’t wait!

AVENGERS X-SANCTION #4 – I have no idea why I’m getting this. I kinda just want to see how it ends?

BATMAN #7 – I like this book. It’s not God’s gift to superhero comics the way a lot of people make it out to be, but it’s good. It’s also the only book I’m checking out from DC these days. The jumping-on point was also a good jumping off point, it seems.

INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #514 – 2011 was an mixed bag year for this book, but this “Demon” story has been great. Fraction/Larrocoa getting back to the main storyline they’ve been telling since the very beginning. It’s pretty impressive how many issues together these guys have been doing, and more often then not its a solid read(if pretty slow, and Larrocoa’s humans are lol from time to time). Rarely my favorite book of the week, but its almost always a dependable read.

PROPHET #23 – Chris “not that one, Rihanna” Brown above, I’m getting this and the last few issues because of the hype from around the comics blogsphere. My expectation that it’s gonna be a solid comic, that gets overhyped because its different and confident in its storytelling. Kinda like that BKV book that came out last week.

SUPERCROOKS #1 (OF 4) – I keep checking these things out because I secretly hope I’ll get the Mark Millar I loved from the late 90s-early 2000s, and it always ends in disappointment. I never learn though…I liked the preview enough, that’s a good sign, right?

UNCANNY X-MEN #9 – Gillen GETS the X-men, and he’s one of Marvel’s most unappreciated talents, but I can only check out the non-Greg Land issues. Even then, Pacheco aint what he used to be. The June solicts have DUSTIN WEAVER on-board though, so promising times ahead!

WOLVERINE #303 – This story arc should be better then it is, but the need to double ship at the last minute means we got two different artists doing the same story, sometimes switching mid-scene. Also, it’s pretty obvious that Sabretooth is only here because despite his many years on the book, Jason Aaron has never done a Wolverine/Sabretooth battle. He’s kinda just…hanging around, at this point. Despite that, I’m still enjoying it, in a “Yakuza bikers wielding chainsaws” kinda way, but I’m hoping this is a strong conclusion to the last real story arc of the great Jason Aaron run on Wolverine.

  33. Wow this is a big week for me.

  34. BATMAN #7
    BIRDS OF PREY #7
    GREEN LANTERN CORPS #7
    JUSTICE LEAGUE #7
    ROCKETEER ADVENTURES 2 #1 (OF 4)
    UNCANNY X-MEN #9
    WONDER WOMAN #7

Really looking forward to all of these books, especially Wonder Woman!

    Justice League #7
    Supergirl #7
    Wonder Woman #7
    Amazing Spider-man #682
    X-Sanction #4
    Uncanny X-men #9

Good thing I have subscriptions for 4 of these books so it’s not gonna hurt me so bad.

BQ: Yeah, I’d have to say the traditional eggs, toast, bacon, grilled tomato and chips from Wimpy (I don’t think you guys have that in the states but it’s good, real good)

  42. Batman #7
    Wonder Woman #7
    Hellblazer #289
    Prophet #23
    Dominique Laveau: Voodoo Child #1

  43. Decent sized week this week, looking forward to x-factor, iron man, batman andthe last issue of generation hope. Catwoman and nightwing to.

    • BQ, pancakes and ice cream if I absolutly have to eat something. Otherwise I can’t do breakfast, really don’t dig eating in the morning.

  44. Wonder Woman 7, Amazing Spider-Man 682, BPRD Hell on Earth: The Long Death 2, Deadpool 52

BQ: Poached eggs, rye toast, bacon, half a grilled tomato and hashbrowns or homefries with apple juice or chocolate milk.

    CATWOMAN #7
    JUSTICE LEAGUE #7
    SUPER DINOSAUR #9
    WOLVERINE #303
    WONDER WOMAN #7

Jesús Saíz is back on BoP for now? I figured the change up would be happening now. Glad for more of his work… I think Saiz is a perfect fit for that book.

BQ: Bacon with a side of eggs (omlette of some flavor), biscuits & gravy, and a pot of coffee or tea.

  46. Batman #7
    Justice League #7
    Avengers X-Sanction #4
    Wolverine #303
    Deadpool #52

Batman #7 will be the most anticipated, of course, the hype for this title does not lie. I’m also very anxious to see what changes will be made in J.L. since it’s supposed to be set in real time now, 5 years after the first arc. I love Wolverine so I’m glad to see him (hopefully) kick Cable’s whiny ass in Avengers X-Sanction, with some wise-crackin’ commentary from Spidey, and I’m curious to see how the current arc in “Wolverine” is going to end.

  47. Batman 7
    Justice League 7
    Near Death 6
    No Place Like Home 2
    Amazing Spider-Man 682
    Invincible Iron Man 514
    Kick Ass 2 7
    Supercrooks 1

Crispy bacon on white bread, HP sauce and coffee. Simple but perfect.
