I have 7 books on my pull list, but I’m realizing that the only three that I’ve actively excited to read are Teen Titans, Flash and Ultimate Spidey. I guess those are the only three I should buy, huh?

Man, this week is fucking rough. It was hard work trimming it down to no more than 6 books. I had to say goodbye to American Vampire and Wolverine and the X-Men, which was difficult. Not so much for All-Star Western. Oh well, I can always pick them up later. Can’t wait for fucking Prophet!
BQ: Gimme them dollars. I can invest it in a cupcake factory.

Deadpool #51- I honestly haven’t been this excited for an issue of Deadpool for a long time. As a bonus, Daniel Way actually writes an awesome X-Force.
Uncanny X-Force #22- I’ve soured on this title in the last few issues, but I think this one is going to be better.

BQ. IF this was a thousand cupcakes or a thousand dollars then maybe you could sell the cupcakes and make 2 or 3 thousand but a million? All the cupcakes would spoil before you could sell em. Unless they were hostess (see ghost rider 2). If they were hostess cupcakes then maybe i would take the million cakes and sell em slow… online or something.
Why would anyone buy hostess cupcakes from you off line?
I was making a comment about hostess cupcakes lasting forever (ghost rider 2)………. i wasnt serious.. but now that you mention it.. im pretty good at selling stuff ONLINE.. so depending upon the size of these nonexistent hypothetical cupcakes from a totally obviously zero percent serious question… i think i could make more than a million by selling em in bulk at bargain prices.. and for however long i needed to till theyre gone (you know cause they would never spoil). Also as a matter of FACT ive bought cupcakes online before.

Crazy week for comics. I’m kinda glad that I can take a week off of comics to catch up on some stuff next week. My wallets been hurting lately so I guess its time to take a breather. BQ: If I had a million dollars however, this wouldn’t be a problem.

Not one single-issue on my pull list. It seems fatherhood and an ever-growing stack is pushing me more and more towards trades.
Got to give a shout out for Derf’s new book “My Friend Dahmer.” He’s a local artist here in Cleveland who may be best remembered around these parts for his book “Punk Rock and Trailer Parks.” I’ve heard good things about his latest.
For me, this week is HUGE. 13 books and 2 trades/HCs. Ugh.
BQ: If I take the million cupcakes, and share, would I, in theory, create world peace?
Yay, it’s All Star Western Week!!! Je l’adore. Perhaps the only thing which could make this comic better would be if DC added an Al Swearingen backup now and then.
BQ: As an American who has attempted to eat a million cupcakes before only to get to 12 at which point nausea and then fainting commenced, I would choose to take the million dollars, then buy 11 cupcakes, then retire comfortably with whatever money is left over.

started cutting this week. This will be my last issue of WaXM despite how much I like it. UXF is close to leaving as well.
Those are tough cuts (especially WaXM). I get it though, just can’t buy everything. I may try to make the decision by what I think will read better in trades that way, it’s a tough call though sooo many good comics out right now.

Most excited for Wolverine, Venom and TMNT. I accidentally missed Secret Avengers 22, or I’d probably be pumped for that too.

American Vampire, Wolverine and the X-Men, and Aquaman are my definite pulls this week. But, I will be trying some other books to see what else is happening. It’s like Vincent Price said, “A man who limits his interests, limits his life.”
BQ: Either or. I could get the million dollars or I could just sell each cupcake for one dollar and get a million. But, I’d want the million dollars because I wouldn’t waste time selling the cupcakes.
What ever happened to my light weeks? This is a good week for comics for me though, looking forward to a few x books and a few dc books, which still seems kinda strange for me. Morning glories and prophet as well, nice.

Secret Avengers new roster and creative team brought me back the minute that news broke, also picking up Flash,I,Vampire (love this title, shadowy almost Hellboy like art and like the story as well). JLDARK is one I’m digging the characters in more as it gets deeper into it, and No Place Like Home. Might try X-MEN Legacy for the two teams meeting and New Mutants cause of the new arc and loved DNA’s cosmic Marvel run. Other good titles out this week I’m getting in trade format, Morning Glories, Prophet, CHEW,All-Star Western and American Vampire. Dropping Wolverine and the Xmen, Uncanny X-Force(art, it matters big time to me in a medium where one enhances the other, writing/art).I might grab Deadpool #51 if I like #50 I haven’t read yet w his DEAD arc and X-Force pals in it, might not be bad. Overall its a light week for me and am dropping as many 3.99 titles as I can, with certain X titles I can always get a nice HC later if its a good run. BQ: Million dollars any day, unless it was the zombie apocalypse, don’t wanna go through a Woody Harrelson in Zombieland twinkie like issue.
BQ: Assuming the dollars are in USD and the scenario takes place in a world comparable to our own (so no hyperinflation or other funny business), sign me up for the $1MM please. Cupcakes can be a tricky business, and there are too many unknown variables here. As any serious cupcake eater knows, the wrong icing-to-cake ratio can easily turn gladsies into sadsies, and a bad crumb is fun for no one.

I have absolutely nothing on my pull list this week (I collect 8 total). Maybe I’ll pick up DHP#9.

I’m seeing a few comments in here about having to cut a few books, including American Vampire and Wolvering-X-Men. Also saw a few comments about “waiting for trades.” AV and WXM are two books I couldn’t wait for trade. They’re excellent reads as singles, although having them in trade would mean easier re-reading. Still, I’ve decided to “trade up” a few books that I could enjoy better for the sake of their storytelling: like Batwoman and Flash. Might go the Wonder Woman route if Azzarello doesn’t hurry up with this storyline.
I am waiting for the trade on Am. Vampire, but I can’t imagine waiting for WXM. Soooo good. It’s the only title I am planning to continue reading through the AvX tie-in arc (Dropping Avengers, New Avengers and Secret Avengers).
