Contemplating adding Indestructible Hulk as I’ve really been digging Waid on Daredevil. And while I was never a regular reader of Hellblazer, I pretty well knew his story and I’m genuinely curious as to how it ends.
BQ: In no particular order, superhero, rock and roll star, cowboy, and Bo Duke.
I’d go for Indestructible Hulk.
I’m not a big Hulk fan, and only started getting the series because of Waid on Daredevil. It’s only been 3 issues, but Indestructible Hulk has been a lot of fun so far. Waid seems pretty inspired right now.

BQ: I wanted to be President and a weatherman at the same time
I have never enjoyed a Nova comic book before (I’ve only read a few) and Jeph Loeb deserves no benefit of the doubt after the last several years at Marvel BUT….I am actually very excited for this new Nova series. I have no idea why but I have a really good feeling about it. Hope I’m right.
Other than Nova I’m getting Avengers, Thor, Daredevil, both JLs, Spider-Man, Nightwing, Saga, Happy, Revival, and maybe even Hellblazer.
Whew. That’s a giant week where I’ll also be getting the Punisher, Wolverine X-Men, and Fraction X-Men trades and the Teen Titans omnibus. I will have no money left.
BQ: Comic book artist, but it was immediately clear that neither my mind nor hand were capable drawing. I went the other way and wanted to write comics. Right now I’m a journalism major, so that’s fairly close.
BQ: I was born during the Mercury Program and became aware of the world around me during the Apollo Program. I dreamed of growing up to be an Astronaut and going into outer space. I’ve been there many times since in my imagination!
Big comics of the week are Hellblazer, X-Factor, Indestructible Hulk and Avengers.

BQ: first NY Jets QB (I was a kid in the 70s and Namath was still playing), then Yankees center fielder, then Astronaut. Each dream faded as I realized physical limitations….thanks for dredging up all those failed dreams.
Pretty heavy week for me, but it’s a bunch of rad comics, so I’m happy.
Baltimore, The Widow and the Tank: This should be good, I’ve loved all the Baltimore stuff so far.
Batwoman: This is probably my last issue, the story just isn’t compelling enough for me to keep picking it up. I’m bummed because I like Kate as a character.
Black Beetle: Francavilla doing what he does best. The first issue was cool, so I’m looking forward to this.
BPRD 1948: I might have to read this whole arc over to really have it sink in, the Fuimara art has been fantastic.
Conan: I’ve really enjoyed reading Wood’s Conan, looking forward to Mirko Colak’s interpretation artwise.
Daredevil: Waid and Samnee have kicked ass on every issue, so I expect more of the same. This is one of my favorite characters, and I love this book.
Saga: Always look forward to this title, Vaughn and Staples deserve all the praise they’ve been getting.
Wonder Woman: Another of my favorite books, fuckin’ Wonder Woman who would’ve thought.
BQ: An Air Force Pilot, well pretty much I wanted to be Maverick from Top Gun.(I know he was Navy, but still.)

BQ: My mother tells me that, for some unfathomable reason, I wanted to be a cab driver. Couldn’t tell ya why. I didn’t grow up in a city and when I did move to New York it became even funnier. Also, a cowboy who saves a town and becomes their sheriff. This is before I was aware that things like that and ninja we’re off the table.

Finally dropping Green Lantern, Its the only lantern book i’ve been reading and it really died for me when i found out that I had to buy another book to get the conclusion to rise of the third army, and then hearing that Johns was leaving the book after part two of the lantern books crossover made me want to read it even less.
BQ: I’m pretty sure I wanted to be Tommy from the power rangers (white ranger version) then i got too old for that shit and I moved on to wanting to be spider-man. I’m now training to be a lawyer so I guess i’m going the Matt Murdock route (either that or she-hulk).

Thor – continues to be the book about the character I never gave a crap about before said book told an EPIC story.
Hulk – been wating for Hulk vs Attuma since I saw the preview 2 months ago. Waid’s Hulk is fun, dammit.
Daredevil – last issue was big return to previous greatness
Black Beetle – I buy lots of books just because Francavllla does the covers, so of course I get this.
X-O Manowar – seems to be under the radar for most folks, but it’s been really entertaining.
Nova — very wary of this one; The DnA Nova was supreme!

Big week: Most looking forward to Nova, Saga, Black Beetle and Thor.
BQ: A river boat gambler. I’m not joking. Got to about 15 and I figured out that despite my amazing ability with cards, unless I cheated I wasn’t of the caliber needed to make a living out of it. So I became a magician. Fair compromise I say.
Big week. I will likely drop GL: New Guardians after the first lantern arc. And Harbinger is on the chopping lock because I find the pacing a bit slow for my tastes. (Slow can be cool but it’s not commanding my full attention…which probably means I only WANT to enjoy it.)
And – though I’m a big DC guy, I am looking forward to both Hulk and Thor quite a bit. Really digging what they’re doing on those titles.
