August 14, 2013 8:41 am Green Arrow just seems to be killing it every issue. Really enjoying it at the moment. That's both art and story.
July 22, 2013 1:16 pm I don't think it's gonna be a full Superman/Batman team up film. I think it's gonna be more of a sequel to Man of Steel and Batman being introduced to the new DCU. Which leads into Flash and then, Justice League. Can't wait to hear more details about it because all we know at the moment are some very sparse ideas.
July 15, 2013 11:43 am Really hoping Saga cleans up here, they deserve it. It's been such a refreshing comic.
June 11, 2013 11:59 am I agree the head-shot gag in Swamp Thing was a highlight and that the art is absolutely fantastic, Jesus Saiz nailing it. But, I'm not happy with this current Swamp Thing idea, he is talking way too different to the Swamp Thing I know and love. Snyder got it spot on but Swamp Thing shouldn't ever say the phrase, "Life's all about the curveballs these days" Also, what happened to his slow almost mono-sounding (I imagine) voice?
June 11, 2013 11:55 am Very much looking forward to reading Snyder on Superman Unchained. It'll be great to see him write something a bit brighter.
April 14, 2013 6:28 pm Completely true. I didn't feel it too much with Batman but definately with Green Lantern I've just wanted something basic. There was too much "the universe will end, unless..." There are only so many times you can save the world before you start getting bored. Which is exactly why this issue was a breathe of fresh air. We need more of these stories in all comics.
March 13, 2013 12:02 pm But this is the New 52, Harold could still be alive for all we know.
March 13, 2013 12:00 pm It won't be for too long anyway as the "Year Zero" storyline will kick in and all this will be in the future for the Batman title anyways.
March 13, 2013 11:50 am From that interview I'm really looking forward to his run. It seems he is going to do exactly what I've been hoping for, bring in new villains, new characters and explore the universe a bit more rather than focusing on the colour spectrum and Guardians being corrupt, which has become a bit stale under Johns. Bring on June. But before that, let's hope Johns' run ends on a high note.
February 13, 2013 11:24 am Woah. It's definately been a great run that not many comic writers (especially in DC) have these days. I have read all of the books but I've read the big ones and from the new 52 i've book his issues. However I have felt that someone new needs to come in and do something a little different. I enjoyed the good cop bad cop thing they had at the start of the New 52 and everything feels so epic after that. Maybe it is time to go back to basics. Either way I look at it, Johns will be missed and the other writers of the GL books. Hopefully Green Lantern can continue to be on my pull list. Good luck to Johns on all the other books he's writing.
