July 10, 2012 4:37 pm That Superman image at the top makes me feel like a 10 year old kid again. Love the simplicity.
July 10, 2012 4:32 pm Blacksad: It's like Thundercats meets Chinatown. Ok, not really but it's pretty damn amazing.
March 19, 2012 1:47 pm Good to see that they finally gave Deadpool... I mean, Spider-Man a new show.
March 12, 2012 3:08 pm I met McQuarrie when I was a kid. He was a very kind man, and patiently suffered through my many of nerdy questions. To this day, my signed print of his Hoth concept art is framed above my desk. As for Moebius, I only recently became aware of him because Frank Quietly had stated that he was a major influence. An amazing storyteller.
March 5, 2012 5:28 pm I'm excited to see how Ultimate Spider-Man turns out. When I was a kid, Batman the Animated Series was the first show that actually compelled me to read the credits, and I've been a big fan of Paul Dini ever since.
February 27, 2012 6:47 pm I have two long boxes worth of books I want to keep for sentimental reasons. However, being a child of the early 90's and that speculative era, I still have tons of OCD problems. If I read a single issue I'm still very careful not to damage the book, even though it's pointless. In fact, the main reason I love digital is so I no longer have to worry about my OCD kicking in over damaging it. Trades and digital have saved me for going nuts.
February 27, 2012 6:31 pm I'm confused. Is Earth 2 not going to be retro and pulpy? I hate to bitch about how Jim Lee's designs seem outdated, but...what is with all the spikes? My hesher uncle would totally love this though.
February 27, 2012 6:21 pm Young chubby Wayne Newton?
February 15, 2012 5:42 pm I love the concept of Challengers, and that they are "living on borrowed time." Even just the name Challengers of the Unknown, has always sounded cool to me. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
February 8, 2012 12:08 am Yeah, he came to mind for me as well.
