Alright, I’ll admit it. I got a little misty eyed when Warren got the “Picard in ‘The Inner Light'” treatment from Betsy at the end. Can I give this book higher than a 5? Like, a billion? The X-Men are my favorite Marvel “brand,” but I don’t think I’ve loved an X-Men book this much since Whedon and Cassaday did Astonishing X-Men. And I think I like this one even more. (And not just because it took Astonishing 4 years to put out 25 issues, and this title has had 18 in a little over 12 months.)

I mean, Remender just pulled off an 8 issue story arc basically starring Angel and Fantomex, of all characters, that was one of the best arcs I’ve ever read. Of anything. If you haven’t read this story yet. Do it. As fast as you possibly can.

And Marvel, you better Omnibus the shit out of this when Remender is done on this title. As soon as possible. Like, as soon as his last issue of this hits the stands, I want the hardcover version of his entire run available to buy that same day.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
