Wow lots of things have been happening in the X-universe; a group of mutants staying in Utopia under the leadership of Cyclops, a group of mutants stationed in Westchester, New York under the guidance of Wolverine, Madrox biting the dust, the New Mutants looking for mutants to join their ranks, Hope Summers makes her place, the Scarlet Witch resurfacing back into the Marvel universe, and Cable returns to hunt down the Avengers. Out of all the events occurring (although I’m very excited to see how Wanda will affect things in the future), nothing beats the consistency of Uncanny X-Force. From issue number one, I was literally blown away at how excellent this series is. This book has kept a consistency with excellent written plots and artwork that shines throughout every single page you turn. Now that the Dark Angel Saga has concluded, I’m still left with the feeling of satisfaction. Here is the full rundown of what happened in Uncanny X-Force #18. The beginning of the issue has War, Pestilence, and Dark Beast leaving via a ship in order to protect Pestilence since she is carrying Archangel’s heir. Back with Fantomex, Psylocke, and Archangel, Fantomex gets stabbed in the head by Archangel; Psylocke hesitates to kill Warren so he takes out Psylocke. Still alive from a second brain in Marrow, Fantomex orders Ultimaton to release kid Apocalypse, now called Genesis. As Archangel defeats Genesis, Psylocke stabs Archangel with the life seed. Before Warren dies, Betsy flashes memories of them spending their lives together. In the end, Betsy runs and kisses a now amnesiac Warren. *As a final note, I think the issue being poly bagged was unnecessary.
