I wasn’t reading The Flash before the relaunch so this new reintroduction of Flash’s rogues is my first introduction of them. It seems that Flash’s old rogues whose powers where technological are becoming genetic, which means Flash is going to have to do better than take Weather Master’s wand or Cap Cold’s freeze gun away. I think this was supposed to be a crime solving issue, but there wasn’t much crime being solved. Patty Spivot is being held hostage with another guy and they’re about to be killed to cover up a murder, but that’s all there is to that pretty much. Flash just wants to capture Weather Master so he’ll tell him where Patty is so he can tell her he’s Flash. In my opinion, Weather Master is the star of this issue. The story revolves around him instead of the Flash this time. Marcus To and Ray MCarthy are a pretty good replacement for Francis Manapul and Brain Buccellato on art duties. Some pages are better than others, but I don’t think every male in Guatemala has a moustache.

  1. Marcus To’s art is amazing. Without trying to imitate what Manapul is doing in the series, he brings his own style and the result is fantastic. I like the twist in Weather Wizard’s history and the way his powers work. I am also ecstatic about the return of Lisa snart.
