I’m so excited for this. Such a quirky little team.

  2. CaseyJustice CaseyJustice says:

You had me at Hawkeye and Hank Pym.

  3. Gerry Lopez Gerry Lopez says:

Tried the .1 and liked it. Will be trying this on for size as well.

  4. kcekada says:

Doubt if this will be as good as Ellis’s run, but I’m signing on for Hank Pym. Hawkeye looks too Ultimates Hawkeye for my tastes.

    • Boyling Boyling says:

I enjoyed some of Ellis’ issues too but I’m hoping for a more consistent, over-arching story here, especially considering how much I loved Uncanny X-Force.

  5. Not loving Hawkeye’s costume, but I really liked the .1 issue besides that little detail, so i’m definetly going to pick this up.

    • Also, I just wanna add that its refreshing to pick up a book with “Avengers” in the title and actually like it. The point one issue was the first time that happened to me in about 6-8 months.

  6. mgriffith mgriffith says:

Rocking line-up, and I am looking forward to this in a big way!

  7. SleepingMan SleepingMan says:

This man is after my wallet and I will give it to him.

  8. edward edward says:

Where did art Adams find the time to draw wolverine and the xmen plus do the cover for this issue in one month?

  9. player1 player1 says:

    Hell yes.

  10. torippu torippu says:

Had no plans of getting this book until this week’s Don’t Miss podcast…gonna give this issue a try now.

  11. LamesBondOO0 says:

Seems like a good point to jump in

  12. Captain Britain is getting some exposure right now.

  13. Abjekt Abjekt says:

Anything Remender touches, I’m all over. This book will be no different, can’t wait.

  14. KillTheG1mp KillTheG1mp says:

I guess I’ll try this one out since all of you seem pretty excited about it. Never read an Avengers book in my life before (oh no I said it don’t stone me to death please!).

    • I really liked the last .1 issue with the same writer. It was a single issue story that will give you an idea what is ahead and it might be a better sampling.

I think this issue is the beginning of an arc.

  15. Andrew Andrew says:

Oooooooh! I’m cutting books left and right, but this will be hard to pass by.

  16. thompsonlive thompsonlive says:

Hey what do you know marvel is only offering this digital through it’s proprietary marvel app and restricting ComiXology and Graphic.ly releases. Guess they don’t want my money. It’s a shame marvel can’t seem to figure out when you treat your customers badly like this they will just get access to the content through alternative methods. Did they not watch what happened to the music industry in the late 90s?!?! Idiots!

    • rocknrolla says:

I got mine through an alternate method too, I went to a comic store \m/(0_*)\m/

    • thompsonlive thompsonlive says:

@rocknrolla lol. that works too except i’m all digital now, I refuse to go back to that troll infested comic basement which was the only LCS in town. I just find it funny how every other publisher is all in digital except marvel. For example today I can buy Wolverine and the X-Men same day digitally through ComiXology yet they still won’t go all in on their second tier books like daredevil and this. They don’t even offer a public statement explaining what their digital strategy is they just kinda dip their toe in on some books and other books have a totally different policy. Whoever is in charge of their Digital transition should be fired and replaced with someone who actually knows what their doing. It’s ridiculous.

    • rocknrolla says:

      They suck kinda

    • KillTheG1mp KillTheG1mp says:

The Marvel App prevents me from reading books on my android smart phone if I’m not connected to the internet… So no reading in the subway, it’s fucking stupid!

That’s why I’m still a paper reader and only read digital if I want to try something else that’s out at my LCS or back-issues!

    • Well this issue is on comixology so…

    • thompsonlive thompsonlive says:

@sweetesttoaster umm where are you seeing that ive tried both comics.comixology.com and comixology on ipad neither place has it. What location are you using?

    • @thompsonlive I used the marvel app on my iPad. On second thought it might not be connected to comixology but its on there if you want it. If its not a part of comixology then sorry for the misunderstanding.

    • thompsonlive thompsonlive says:

@sweetesttoaster oh no worries. Yeah i dont want it on the marvel app because yeah it works great on the ipad but its horrible web interfeace and non existence on other devices make it worthless to me. I just want to buy my comics on one service and be able to read it on any platform whenever i want, so im not boat anchored to one device.

  17. RahUniQue RahUniQue says:

I loved this book!!!! It rocked me, HARD!!!!!

  18. ctrosejr ctrosejr says:

I thought this was an enjoyable start. Perhaps a little slow at the beginning, but it got better with every page. I have no idea who the bad guys are, so that didn’t hook me. In the end, I like that each character seems to have his or her unique personality. I think this will be a well written team book. I’ll definitely give it another issue.

  19. Blargo Blargo says:

Giant Pym all up in yo faces.

  20. I enjoyed the .1 but this issue was a bit slow for me. Not a drop! I’ve still a lot of faith in remender, I just thought this issue felt a bit rushed? Or something? Somebody help me out here…

  21. AquaPimp82 AquaPimp82 says:

If the station is the size of a football, why does it need to be in orbit? The end tussle got a bit confusing with the art and what not. I like that Captain Britain was shot with a ten foot long arrow also.

  22. emberman says:

I went to my LCS and I forgot to pick this up and I don’t want to go back and get it so I will buy it on Comixology. I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Remender and will get it only for that reason. I am not a fan of the art, in the least. It looks like sketching with color. I am a fan of the Justice League, Catwoman, Batman, Batwoman type of art.

  23. Sockman Sockman says:

This is the one and only title that I might have paid $3.99 for and I just realized it was available now. I also cannot get it digitally…………Nice work Marvel, way to make me aware of what your selling and getting my money.

  24. kingjoeg kingjoeg says:

It’s 7 weeks until the next issue. Such a long time to wait :(

  25. The arrow to Captain Britain’s mouth towards the beginning seemed silly and took me out of the story. I concede that I don’t know the history between him and Hawkeye though so it might make sense.

I thought the last issue was superior in every way, including art.

That being said, I still enjoyed the book and will reread it to see if it holds up better 3/5.

  26. rafterman rafterman says:

An Avengers team without Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Cap? I’m in. Seriously, this was good. Love their base and the inclusion of old-school Avengers like Pym. Plus the Captain Britain stuff ties nicely into Uncanny X-Force right now. Good stuff.

  27. DrBr00klyn DrBr00klyn says:

So… where’d Moon Knight go? I know they have new members, but they never actually covered where he and War Machine have gone, now that their series are both ending or ended… they just vanished. I was actually hoping Rememnder would bring Moon Knight back to his old ways…

    • mgriffith mgriffith says:

Agreed. Both characters would work on this team, and both have history with Hawkeye. Reasons why they did not make the line-up should have been addressed. Or hopefully we’ll see them down the road.

  28. AmirCat AmirCat says:

does anyone understand the part where they came out of the lady and it looked like Lava? I didn’t get that. Was this due to Pym particles?

  29. Stanley Stanley says:

Keep those Art Adams’ covers comin’….

  30. edward edward says:

This was a little by the numbers but remender does have a great sense of energy

  31. mgriffith mgriffith says:

A decent comic, but not as good as I had hoped.

  32. JaqueNargg JaqueNargg says:

I wasn’t too impressed with this. The art was a bit hard to read at some points, and I’m not feeling really grabbed by the story. If the next issue gets better reviews I may continue.

  33. stasisbal stasisbal says:

I agree with the last few comments. This was just OK. I’m not sold on the team or the villains yet. Hardman’s art was good but not his best IMO. I’m on board for at least the first arc on the strength of the creators so they still have time to win me over.

  34. jasonwest says:

For me these last 2 issues have been the BEST this series has seen. Brubaker can’t write a team book and Ellis’s run just really missed the boat for me. So I am really excited for Remember.
