  1. Does EVERYONE know Natu is Sinestro’s kid now? Still giving this a shot I think Bedard is more comfortable with the lanterns now.

  2. Sticking with this for my Kyle fix, but so far havn’t been wowed. Maybe the new art team will liven things up.

  3. I’m not hopeful of the art. The story has been fine, good at points.

  4. I’m giving this ONE chance with Kirkham. The stuff I’ve seen in previews or other titles has not made me a fan…..But I will give him a chance then just outright dropping this.

  5. Matt Banning is a pretty good inker too!

  6. Don’t know ANYTHING about the creators, but I’m still enjoying this just as much since Tomasi bounced.

  7. Last arc was meh. This gets one or two issues.

  8. I’ve just decided to drop the Green Lantern titles. I may pick them up after Brightest Day ends. Right now I am just not enjoying them.

  9. I’m interested to see how Kirkham’s art style works with the GL world.

  10. I like the idea of the Weaponer seeking revenge. Bedard explained it really well at NYCC. But the whole leftover construct net seems silly to me. I hope he explains it a bit more in the next few issues. Still, I’m enjoying this so far. I have yet to fall victim to this GL fatigue that’s been floating around. I’m still pumped for all this stuff.

  11. Loved this issue.

  12. Nice issue. I didn’t know Kirkham at all before this but I was seriously impressed. Great alien design and really fluid body language. I wouldn’t mind if he sticks around for a while.

The story grabbed me more than I thought it would. The Weaponer makes for a really interesting rationale behind a team-up with Kyle and Sinestro. And it’s nice to see a villain with an actual reason for revenge.

    Keep it up Bedard.

  13. Seriously this is the worst single issue I’ve read all year.

Horrible writing and ATROCIOUS artwork. I knew I wasn’t going to like anyone taking over for Syaf but I wasn’t expecting to see this garbage on the paper. Batt’s inking is also some of the worst inking I’ve seen in my lifetime as a comic reader. Safe to say that this series is offically dropped until both Bedard and Kirkham leaves.

    1/5

  14. Wow. Easy killer.

  15. Awesome variant cover of Soranik Natu’s ink….had to take a pic.

  16. Not bad.  I’ll pick it up in trades. @TNC I can see 2 or 3 pages of art that were off, but for the most part it was almost as good as Syaf (but I think it was a mistake to lead into the new regular art team with one of DC’s best).  I thought the first arc was lacking, but this one seems to be kicking it up a notch.  although I didn’t care for Kyle’s dialogue on the last 2 pages.  I don’t see him calling Sinestro "dude"…

  17. @TNC I don’t think we read the same book.  I’m not saying it was the best art I’ve ever seen, but it was nowhere near garbage or the worst thing I’ve read this year.  It’s pretty clear I’m partial to Kyle but I really enjoyed this issue and see a lot of potential in this arc.

  18. Felt like I read this in about 30 seconds (& I’m a slow reader). Not much story here …

  19. Still a little rough but I really liked it.

  20. I loved this–I mean, I am a Kyle Rayner fan, so that possibly biases me in favor of Kyle Rayner badass stories, but I also really dug the art.  There’s serious kinetic energy going on in that two-page spread, and also, I say again, lots of Kyle Rayner badassery!

  21. Yea this read really really fast.

  22. I dug the villain a lot more than Cyborg Superman, this could be fun.  I agree with TNC about the inking, it seems like the guy decided he was going to make this book all about him and in doing so  completely destroyed the art.
