TEASER: “Superior Spider-Week” is Coming!

It’s next week, apparently.

My spider-sense tells me that every day next week Marvel Comics is going to release one major Superior Spider-Man related announcement. So that’s exciting. In the meantime, check out this teaser that hints at what those announcements could be:

Speculate away, webheads!

Comments

  1. An April Fool’s joke?

  2. That definitely looks like the 1980s Sinister Six in the box the second from the left. I see Beetle, Shocker and Speed Demon.

That cover image all the way on the left looks like it’s going to be an amazing image when we see the whole composition!

  3. I don’t often get excited over these announcements but… IS THAT BEN REILY’S COSTUME I SEE?

  4. Interesting….excited to see what this is all about.

  5. I’m betting there’s gonna be some kind of event in the various Spider books, “Court of Owls” Marvel style. I’m pretty sure I see Spider-Girl up there, and I imagine that Doc Ock in Spidey’s body will be a big part of the story.

    • Interesting…one man’s Ben Reilly (Tetsu) seems to be another man’s Spider-Girl (IthoSapian).

I honestly hope neither of you is right, but I’d take Spider-Girl over Ben Reilly any day of the week.

    • Huh, guess that figure in the character is missing breasts so it couldn’t be Spider-Girl. Well that points to Ben Reily then I guess, hasn’t it been teased he may or may not be alive since back in BND (Back when Peter had that family reunion in Boston?)? Or maybe this is the Jackal with a new batch of clones… Either way I’m not up on events at Marvel so, whatevs.

    • I don’t recall any teases about Ben Reily being back, but Slott did leak that Miquel O’hara (Spider-man 2099) is going to be in upcoming issues….

    • Ohhh, that’s right! Great memory, cubman! Could this be Miguel’s costume?

  6. My only hope is that Zeb Wells will be coming back to write a Spider man related book that isn’t 60% exposition via Doc Ock inner dialogue.

  7. I think everyone’s missing the major headline – the first two panels look like MARCOS FREAKING MARTIN ART! Oh so happy if he’s coming back for a while for art duties!

  8. Am I the only one seeing the letters in the brain lobes in the image on the far left? It looks like it’s from either a cover or a title page for an upcoming issue of Superior Spider-Man.

  9. I’m thinking crossover. I believe Slott and/or Yost mentioned having major things in store for Spider-fans this year.

I’m willing to bet SSM/SS/Avenging event.

  10. I think they should bring the current Scarlet Spider into this like the one playing detective knowing Spider-Man’s not Spider-Man seeking to find out what happened to Peter Parker kinda the way Red Robin searched for Batman for 2yrs after he disappeared in Final Crisis, everyone thought he was dead after being zapped by Darkseids omega beam but Tim Drake didn’t give up. I could see that element helping Scarlet Spiders story with plenty of detours.

    • Yeah, but I doubt that’s going to happen. I mean, it looks like they’re going with a more supernatural twist to Scarlet Spider, with The Other and the Lobos and the old gods. Same with Venom, if they keep up with this demon nonsense. It’d be cool if it was Flash pulling the detective work, though, but he’s gonna have his hands full with Eddie/Toxin.

  11. SHOCKER! SHOCKER! SHOCKER! My fave Spidey villain of all time. I’ll probably buy a SM book if Shocker’s in it. In fact, didn’t he already show up in SSM?

  12. I don’t know if anyone’s brought this up, but if Spidey’s getting fired by the Avengers, doesn’t that mean that “Avenging” is either getting cancelled or renamed?

  13. I love weeks!

  14. Oh Lord. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve gotten excited over a possible Ben Reilly return, I’d be doing pretty darn well financially.

  15. Well two of the things have been announced:
