April 2, 2013 2:16 am Layman had it on his table at WonderCon last week. It's HUGE. I thumbed through the pages and it looks great. I believe James Tynion has a back-up story in this issue as well, which is the failsafe if the content is terrible. Still, $7.99 is steep and shouldn't the 900th issue be a moot point after this whole "new 52" gag they ran and tripped with?
March 28, 2013 11:02 pm Right, but regarding a 1st printing as an investment takes more than a day. It's a gamble and if it works out you'll see more than a return of investment as time passes if you ever choose to sell your books.
March 28, 2013 2:49 pm There's even a moment when She-Hulk has this odd moment of needing clarity on who Spiderman is... I think it's Peter. Doc ain't that funny.

March 28, 2013 2:15 pm It's all just a debate of content vs. collection. If you just want to read the story, digital digital digital. If you want to own a copy as a declaration of collection and ownership, $10 for a first printing isn't too steep considering how much Manhattan Projects #1 is selling for or even Saga #1.
March 28, 2013 1:35 am We're seeing books, primarily from writers such as Hickman, Vaughn, Cullen Bunn, Ed Brubaker, and others where a reader is unapologetically thrust into worlds where pre-established character conflict and built worlds exist and we couldn't be more fortunate. East of West is absolutely no different and I am quite happy that books like this exist. Superheroes will always be the meat and potatoes of comic books, but finess is now in the indie comics and it is wonderful. This book should be sold out everywhere because if it didn't sell out in an hour in each LCS, it would have sold out by the end of the day due to word of mouth. If you're not reading this, digital download it, love it, save some cash, buy a first printing, hug your mother, and buckle up because this book is going to ruin minds.
March 22, 2013 4:27 pm On the website it says it is not planned to be released on paper, only as a digital comic. :/ Which is both tragic and idealistically fantastic.
March 1, 2013 2:19 pm I really don't care if they'd ruin my life, I want a molite.
February 19, 2013 9:17 pm I jumped in at Blackest Night and enjoyed the shit out of it, then went back to First Flight and began there. It's really great. And if you're thinking of jumping into GL check out War of the Green Lanterns because as much as the NEW 52 was a reboot it picked up where that one left off. #1 of the New 52 feels like a sequel to WOTGL and an epilogue for Johns as the GL writer. Go forth.
February 19, 2013 9:12 pm It's EXTREMELY childish and brilliant in its own rite. Netflix has it, and you MUST know, at the very least, one person who has Netflix so go now and bask in the infantile brilliance.
