January 4, 2013 12:05 pm I was gonna post on your article yesterday my feelings about Kickstarter deserving a place on both the positive and negative lists. I have a bad feeling that 2013 will see it firmly end up on a "negative" list, but I will try to stay positive. Self-publishing certainly seems like somewhere we are headed.
July 5, 2012 12:34 pm Great interview, Ron. I don't think I've heard anything about this yet, so I figured I would ask. With the move toward digital being more prevalent, and the possibility of digital codes being placed in each issue, is this the time when Marvel goes line-wide $3.99? I'm sure Marvel wouldn't want to announce this because it wouldn't bring great press, but do you think this is where we are headed?
June 11, 2012 12:58 pm I was really hoping today's bonus question would be "What did Don say"? but I guess the answer is a little too obvious.
June 11, 2012 12:50 pm Not just a great pick (and possibly my favorite of the year so far), it also makes for an excellent pairing with the previous book of the month, Flex Mentallo, for a totally different take on superhero comics history.
May 14, 2012 3:31 am As a 23 year old, just wanted to let you know that I did very much appreciate the Real World reference. Special Edition podcast for the 20th anniversary?
April 23, 2012 7:52 pm I'm really surprised there hasn't been more buzz about the AvX Vs. book (although it does seem to be getting a good number of pulls). Moronic title aside, this seems like a no-brainer pick up to me if you are remotely interested in either artist on the book. I feel like the various artists are just going to be given complete free reign to go as bold as they want, which should look awesome, especially with two guys the caliber of Immonen & Kubert on this issue.
April 17, 2012 3:58 pm I know I'm not the first person to come up with this (at least I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere), but that Powers FBI book does really remind me of the never-made 4th season of Veronica Mars. I'm not accusing them of stealing that idea (since it wasn't really a completed idea anyway), but now that's all I can think of when I look at the cover.
April 13, 2012 3:13 pm Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the Parker/Hardman story as part of this Batman Digital. That could be the best thing ever.
April 4, 2012 3:16 pm I have to imagine the Best Graphic Album category will come down to Tale of Sand and Habibi, which makes for an interesting category. Two difficult books to compare. The biggest shocker, of course, is Scott Snyder not nominated for Best Writer, but that category is pretty strong otherwise. And, as Josh pointed out, the Limited Series category is really stacked.
March 29, 2012 1:49 am Agreed, would really hate to see this book get cancelled. Every issue has been better than the one before it, and Sorrentino has become one of my favorite artists over the last few issues in particular.
