August 21, 2013 8:57 pm "I’m beginning not to trust critics opinions anymore and just see the film." Definitely go with that thought. In my experience, movie critics hate anything genuinely interesting or original, or just plain fun. It seems to makes them feel oh so clever.
August 15, 2013 11:39 pm This just gets cooler and cooler. An excellent expansion of the street level, vigilante character story.
June 13, 2013 2:38 am Anyone this pissed off about something is generally coming from A) genuine hatred and B) frustration that so many people (to them) love it/him/etc uncritically and seem (again, as they see it) to mindlessly excuse every sort of perceived idiocy.
May 31, 2013 8:41 pm Damn right.
May 12, 2013 3:11 am Sue's outfit is indeed ridiculous. If you want to sex up your character there are always things to do without looking this ridiculous. Of course, I'm guessing the costume change was one of editorial reflex and this isn't something created with actual (alleged) thought put in. Reed's pouches and vest, however, are just fine. I've carried that, and more, back when I still had to take pictures using film. And that was just for shooting around twenty minutes from my home.
May 12, 2013 2:56 am I'm only familiar with the two Runaways ( and vaguely X-23). And I remain highly impressed that Dennis Hopeless continues to make me care about them with so little time each issue. Looking forward to issue 10.
May 6, 2013 7:33 pm Original, relevant, and just plain cool first issue. Very much looking forward to issue 2.
March 28, 2013 6:55 pm "The only time DC gets Superman right is when it’s in the form of a miniseries...." And that's the point I think. Superman books would probably function far better if they were a series of mini-series' rather than as a monthly title.
February 14, 2013 4:50 pm The Runaways would probably make more sense as a TV series. Keep it to 13 episode seasons, thus avoiding any filler, and we'd have something excellent. Of course; if they could get Brian K. Vaughn back to write additional 'monster of the week' episodes, a full 24-26 episodes seasons could be cool.
