May 18, 2011 4:49 pm Part 2 of "Escape from the Negative Zone" was a good book--Steve Rogers snuck into Blaastar's "42" prison-fortress to rescue Cyclops and some errant X-men.  The issue ended with a cray-zay Namor laying the smack down on Blaastar and then turning, all frothy animal like, on Steve and Cyclops.  Looking forward to the conclusion!
May 8, 2011 1:57 pm I really enjoyed the development of TaskMaster's character in "Avengers: The Initiative".  This should be a good one!
April 28, 2011 11:35 pm Good, good, monstery goodness.  Oh man...  good stuff!
April 26, 2011 7:09 pm Hoping to see some giant monster throwdowns!   ...will also be picking up Planet of the Apes--it's like a time tunnel to the 70s!
April 26, 2011 7:04 pm **344** pages of comic gold!  How many issues is this collecting?
April 26, 2011 7:01 pm Excellent storytelling in this series, and the art is great too.  If that's not enough... World War II in the Pacific AND Vampires!
April 19, 2011 9:19 pm Love the story, but... can someone please explain the appeal of Romita Jr's art?  I guess, it's just never really done anything for me, generally speaking.  I am digging the Iron Man cover though.
April 19, 2011 9:15 pm Please tell me this comic is a awesome as it looks! 8-o
April 19, 2011 9:09 pm Screw the "Thor vs Hulk" schtick!  Blech... boring.  *Don't be fooled by the cover!*  This storyline reads like an awesome throwback to the Bronze Age!  The "Scorched Earth" apocalypse involves setting all of the monsters loose from Monster Island!  General Ross aka Red Hulk and his pal A-Bomb battle it out with AN ISLAND FULL OF MONSTERS!  It is freakin amazing.  The artwork by Gabe Hardman is outstanding, somehow managing to capture both a contemporary and Bronze Age asthetic.

I bought the issues--even at the disgusting $3.99 cover price--and I'll be picking this up too.  I can't recommend it highly enough.
April 19, 2011 9:01 pm I'm in the same boat as PotatoPope!  But I only paid $19.99 for it.   $29.99 seems like too much...
