    Disappointed in the debut, but I loves me my Gojiro!!! Please recover, as I will be heartbroken if forced to drop this book.

    the only thing that will keep me buying these in issues are the Powell covers!  I’ve actually got issue #1 displayed right next to an old godzilla toy I still have from my childhood.  They look real sweet sitting next to each other(right down to the similar pose!)…Otherwise I would be trade-waiting on this series.  I can only imagine it will be a much better read in approx. 4 issue chunks.

    Hoping to see some giant monster throwdowns!   …will also be picking up Planet of the Apes–it’s like a time tunnel to the 70s!

    I enjoyed the first issue quite a bit, but will admit I found it to be a bit ‘light’.  I can’t wait to see the other monsters get introduced.

    I don’t get the complaints about the first issue. It was spot on with the movies. They ALWAYS start light and then pick up from there. I was happy as hell with the first issue and the momentum picks up a bit here with more intros.
    Also, i really like that idea that this is a different continuity. Every monster is being seen for the first time. I like that

    I’m loving everything about this series.  The best part is that it’s an on-going, so they can get their time and introduce everybody and have plenty of reaction to the giant monsters.

    Rodan grubbed out on the kid and didnt try the cat and the Kamikaze stlye attack on Godzilla by the grieving father cracked me up. This is just a really fun read that only Eric Powell could pull off.

    This is a horrible comic. I tihnk it would do better if Powell was on art and Hester was writing.
