TheConfessor

Name: Alexander Cruz

Bio: I've been reading comics for about as long as i can remember. I'm well versed in much of the history of several characters from both marvel and DC. I don't pick sides in which one is better. Both sides are about equal in strength. When I'm not training a new altar boy, fighting crime, performing priestly duties, or being chased by mobs of terrified Shadow hill residents, i usually have my nose in a comic book or drawing one myself. Remember to stay out of alleys after nightfall, especially in Astro City. Sincerly yours:The Confessor

January 21, 2010 2:22 pm It would cool for me and my brother to watch it if we had amc. Goddamn internet getting my hopes up!
January 21, 2010 2:14 pm Man will this be cool! The promise of seeing both the sandman and Dr. Fate make it all worthwhile and then some!
January 15, 2010 6:18 pm Man. I've been watching smallvile for maybe a season and a half when clark stopped slumming in the teenage angst crap and started doing notable hero work. Looks like i'm being rewarded for joining the bandwagon with Dr. Fate. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 8, 2010 7:27 pm I'm a comic book reader who just never sees himself growing tired of the medium. I don't necessarily follow characters but rather the stories and art that most intrigue me. Which is why i would buy the first four (plus the trade with first appearence of venom) trades of usm and not the whole bendis/bagley run. If i ever do get tired of comics i'll get my kids intrested in comics from an early age so my comics can entertain other generations.

To me this is the series that defines superhero comics.

January 7, 2010 11:31 pm Man i hate how i'm always late for the good stuff. Oh well guess i'll search for this in the half priced books and etc. used comic book bins. Surprisingly you can find good stuff in those bins.
January 7, 2010 10:50 pm Superman, spider-man, captain america, and batman. These guys lead the pack everytime i think of comics. My first superhero comic was the amazing spiderman. For the most part i was introduced to these heroes during those awesome nineties cartoons. It wasn't until my current teens when i started reading the stories and found out they were more awesome than i could possibly imagine. Maybe because in comics you get more freedom (y'know basically all the stuff you can't show in a cartoon but is okay in a comic.) Besides the freedom in comics, these characters have shown me morals that i take dear to heart and i'll pass on to my kids. No fairy tales for them, they'll go to sleep on the adventures of some of the many characters of my youth.
January 1, 2010 1:43 pm @Christian from Chicago, I would recommend Kurt Busieks Astro City. Despite its current long storyline, Astro City is riddled with one-and-done stories. I'd also recommend investigating one shots and i admit that marvel adventures are a good way to go. caution: Marvel adventures are a two way street, the artwork can occasionally be plagued by cruddy artwork and some stories can be incredibly poor and ridiculous. Especially if jonboy meyers is drawing!
