December 30, 2012 11:58 pm Same here. Man, I love this book. Art, story, all so crazy-awesome. Really having fun with the Kirby-ness of it all.
December 27, 2012 11:52 pm I'm torn on whether or not to continue reading this. I do have enough comics to keep me more than busy, but I like Dennis Hopeless and Sal Larocca. I'm only kind of liking this series, though. It may have to wait for the trade in case of good reviews.
December 17, 2012 10:57 pm Man, did I ever love Metropolis. What a fantastic series. It was pretty much a Jimmy Olsen series, but I'm not complaining.
December 14, 2012 9:34 pm Can't wait to read this one. I loved the first volume, when I was brand-new to the world of Kirby comics. (Yes, I discovered Jack Kirby's work about a year ago...I'm sorry.)
November 26, 2012 9:39 pm I agree totally. The art is incredible. I loved how she told off the Joker. I wish she would have gone ahead and clawed his extra face right off, but I guess they have to finish this one out eventually somewhere else. My one quibble is that when she told the Joker that he didn't even have any lips to kiss with, in that very panel, there he is puckered up with his mask lips somehow, kissing her on the cheek. There was obviously a snafu between the writer and the artist on this one. But that having been said, Rafa Sandoval is one of my favorite artists currently on the scene. I've followed his work since Ultimate Secret, and I'm sure he'll soon be on a much higher profile book--let's enjoy this while we can!
November 21, 2012 11:33 pm AGH! I knew I'd forgotten something today.
November 19, 2012 10:38 pm Marvel Now has had more hits than misses. I'll at least give this one a try.
October 29, 2012 10:13 pm My copy is getting pretty tattered. I'm wishing they would reprint it somewhere. Maybe with the original DC 1st Issue Special and the Sandman issue? Just trying to think of how they could do it. Thanks as always for a great show, John.
October 29, 2012 12:33 am I looked at this one in the store and thought, "Oh, man! No way!", then put it back on the shelf. Then I felt sorry for anyone who bought it.
October 29, 2012 12:06 am So I'm the one. The one guy who thinks "Prez: Smells Like Teen President" is one of the best Ed Brubaker comics ever written. Come on, it was a tribute to the age of grunge. The whole "Prez" thing was just the background to a wonderful story with awesome art by Eric Shanower. Loved this book.
