I am going to pick up the Losers....probably try and get that on DCBS the next time I order.
I love the Criminal series....and while I know I am missing out on the essays in the back, the trades do make for a nice easy self contained read. I would suggest the iFanbase might want to give them a look!
Morrison's run on JLA that I was able to pick up from my local library is what brought me back to comics! I thought it was great writing, reintroduced me to a number of characters that I had missed over the years and was totally enjoyable.
I have not picked up any Absolute's, but I did pick up the softcover trades of Justice and really enjoyed the artwork. If I had known, I might have waited and picked up the collected works.
Is there any other Absolutes that any of you suggest picking up? Do you know if All Star Superman is coming out in Absolute?
Light week all the way round..excited about Supergirl though

I am really trying to get away from mini series. I bought into Reign in Hell and every issue questioned why I was continuing. But once I was invested three issues into it, I figured I had to stick it out for the remainder!
Hands down, the best trade book for me has got to be the Criminal volumes. I know that I am missing the essay in the back of each book, but it just reads so well in trade format that I can't imagine getting it any other way.
Thanks guys! I have the dream of publishing my own comic as well and getting picked up by one of the big guys! What are your thoughts on practicing with an established character, like a Wolverine or Aquaman or do you think a virgin writer should try with something totally original?
And really, Batman must be a righty. Why do I say that? Because I am certain I have a 50-50 chance of being right!
