July 13, 2013 2:43 pm So Snyder/Capullo, Tomasi/Gleason, and Williams III aren't doing it for you?! Interesting... Reason? Just curious.
July 13, 2013 2:40 pm It reminded me of Earth One, which is fine but odd. The story was very uneven and forgettable. The characterisations were a bit awkward, especially Alfred. Someone on here said that it was subjective, and I agree; not for me. But I hope that it's agreed that Pyg and Toad were AWFUL. "Eco-terrorists"? Seriously? Toad was kind of a one-off character, fine, but they pretty much stripped Pyg of everything that made him interesting and unsettling. And those accents! Jeez! The animation didn't really do it for me, and at times I had no idea what was going on on-screen. I'm not really sure what the point of Katana is, but whatever. I don't think I care enough to stick around and see... Such a shame.
July 12, 2013 7:17 pm I wonder if these new films will spawn organically from Singer's already established universe... (sigh) as if
July 12, 2013 2:25 pm I agree for the most part. Like with Marvels, the realism adds to the overall theme and feel of the story. In Kingdom Come, it felt tacked on. It just felt unnecessary and could have been done by any other artist. So I guess for me, the art needs to relate to and compliment the story directly... So a surreal Dave McKean on Arkham Asylum works for me, while a waxy Alex Ross on Kingdom Come doesn't.
July 11, 2013 5:05 pm Man... I am absolutely LOVING the new outfit!
July 11, 2013 3:03 pm I hate where the industry is SOOOO MUCH... Snyder, Tomasi, Azzarello, Lemire, Fraction, Bendis (occasionally), and Williams: if not for these writers, I would be DONE with Marvel and DC! And this kind of shit is really disheartening to an aspiring writer, such as myself. Shit like this makes me worry that by the time I'm ready to enter the industry, I'd be handling 5 titles at a time, 2 limited series tying into "The Infinity Box" or some shit, and Bruce Wayne as a woman or Doc-Ock still as Spiderman...
July 8, 2013 6:44 pm In Snyder we trust! Seriously, the decompressed storytelling tells me that it's going to be good! And for all the haters, Year One isn't going anywhere! It is an amazing book that still holds up, but thanks to continuity fuck-ups, we NEED this story. And I'm SOOOO glad that DC was smart enough to hand over Batman's origin to Scott and Greg. If it flops, judge it then; but not a moment sooner.

July 7, 2013 3:30 pm I don't know why I still try with this show. I guess that the fact that Paul Dini gets creative credit makes me constantly hope that at least ONE good episode would spawn... But alas, life is full of disappointments... And the voice for Deadpool was cringe-worthy. I seriously bailed out on the last five minutes.
July 5, 2013 5:56 pm @Scarlet-Batman I'm sorry that you too live in a city that has the likes of Joker, Poison Ivy, Clayface, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Killer Croc, etc... Seriously, it's bad, dude!
