As far as I can tell, event comics are supposed to be like rock albums. They’re big, flashy, noisy, and…

January 10, 2011 4:53 pm This is awesome! I just got accepted to Michigan State this weekend. I had no idea about this event, but I'll put that in the "Pro" column.
December 15, 2010 4:27 pm This looks great! I just introduced the kids of some family friends to Tiny Titans and I've been on the lookout for something else to buy them.
December 13, 2010 3:30 pm Thanks @Neb. Sounds like I have some holiday reading to do.
December 13, 2010 1:56 pm Thanks, @PaulMontgomery!

Does the War of Kings stuff have anything to do with this?
December 13, 2010 1:45 pm For those of us who have missed all of the cosmic events, what's the reading order? I haven't read Cosmic Marvel since the original Annihilation mini-series.

I think people who read illegally do it for a lot of different reasons. I did it for awhile a few years ago, and realized it was wrong. Now I go to the library, swap books with friends, use ebay, and trade on swap.com to get the stuff I couldn't normally afford. All of these things are a lot more fun and social (and easier on my conscience) than going to one of those mal-ware infested sites.

Some people will never stop doing it and don't want to spend a dime of their own money. However, I do think there are a lot of people out there that just need to be shown a better alternative.

November 19, 2010 2:20 pm I wish that folks who pirate comics would go to their local libraries. They may not have everything you want in the timetable you want it, but its free and you don't have read on a screen. I think there's also a communal benefit because the more comics the library loans, the more it is going to buy and the more people will exposed to a variety of stuff. Like a lot of people, I've had to cut back on my pull list, but I read so much more through the library than I ever could have afforded when my budget was at its highest.
November 19, 2010 9:53 am The Dean Trippe sketch was from Austin Comic Con this last weekend. It was my first con and I got my first sketch from Dean. Nicest guy ever. Can't wait for his new projects to come out.

@CloudControl It was #55 last month. Not too high, but certainely not dismal. I'd imagine this is more an event than an end of the series. This could even be Bendis' move to wrap up his run and hand the writing credits over to someone new.

The only thing that annoys me is that they're bringing in the Ultimates titles. Have the Ultimates or Ultimate Avengers been any good since Ultimatum?
