Michigan State University Comics Forum 2011

For the last few years, we've made sure to highlight what's happening at the Michigan State University Comics Forum, and they're at it again in 2011.  If you're in the area, and manage to dig your way out, you can attend any of these events for free.

This year's keynote address will be given by Nate Powell, creator of the Top Shelf graphic novels, Swallow Me Whole and Please Release on Friday, January 21 from 7-8:30 PM.  Additionally, there will be panel discussions all day Saturday, in addition to an Artist's Alley.  Finally, from 1/17 to 1/28, the LookOut! Gallery will host an exhibition, Early Comics HIstory with material from the extensive MSU Comics Library, a massive archive of over 200,000 items of U.S. comic book history.

See? Occasionally we tell you about stuff other than what's in New York City.  I mean, the folks in New Zealand are still SOL, but what can you do? You have the Lord of the Rings! What more could you want?!
