October 10, 2012 3:06 pm God, Devin Grayson's Nightwing run put me off the character right up until Kyle Higgins relaunched him i the New 52. It was just a terrible, terrible run. Sweet Phil Hester art though.

October 1, 2012 12:26 pm Could they have? Maybe. Would they have launched with any kind of interest? I really doubt it. Animal Man would have likely been your standard "everyone who reads it loves it but no one actually buys it" book. Demon Knights probably wouldn't have lasted 6 issues being a regular launch in a sea of books we were already getting. I doubt Frankenstein would have even been approved if they had already had a full line going. DCs "low tier" boks really benifited from the New 52 launch.

July 9, 2012 7:29 pm God was that Nightwing run awful. The first few issues were great and then it took some of the hardest downturns I've ever seen on a book. Its also one of the few times I've gotten a book just for the art since they brought on Phil Hester later in the run.

May 30, 2012 1:43 pm CNN ruined it for me. I was in the hospital. I really didn't think I needed to dodge comic spoilers there.

May 21, 2012 3:45 pm All Star Western Prophet Magic: The Gathering. The magic comic is terrible but I pre-ordered it and I don't like leaving my shop stuck with niche books. I expect Prophet will be my pick of the week. It has no right to be as good as it is.

May 21, 2012 2:23 pm So Daredevil hasn't had a price bump in 9 years huh? I hope no one at Marvel notices. I didn't get any of these in singles but Daredevil and Arkham Asylum: Living Hell were both good. AA:LH was a blast and just thinking about it makes me wish we could get Dan Slott over at DC for some Joker related content.

And as for the Bonus Question, I went to see a Midnight screening of Day of the Dead with a cast and crew Q&A beforehand. There was also some kind of crazy fasion show in the street that night so there was food, booze, and beautiful women about.
