September 16, 2015 8:11 pm What a great interview. Seriously, it's so good to have this type of discussion about the craft with pros back.
April 29, 2014 11:11 pm Is Lone Wolf and Cub as good as its reputation suggests? I haven't read it, bit I've also never heard you guys mention it, You tend to call out great books that you love, so I'm genuinely curious.
October 6, 2013 11:27 pm Haven't listened to the podcast yet, so sorry if this was already mentioned. The best fantasy comic out in the past ten years was the first Dungeons & Dragons series put out by IDW. It's written by Jon Rodgers and (mostly) drawn by Andre DiVito. The characters were cool and it read like a great TV show. I looked forward to that book every month it came out. There are only about 16 issues in total and they are worth tracking down.
September 1, 2013 10:31 pm Thank you guys for helping me to look at comics in a different light. My views on the medium and the culture that surrounds it have been greatly influenced by all of you over the past three years that I've been coming here. Your recommendations got me to try books that I wouldn't have picked up, but more importantly, you helped me see how much better it was to pass those great books on and share them, rather than sticking them in a bag and board. Mostly though, thanks for keeping me company on long drives with the podcasts. Just this past Thursday, I was tooling around my yard on the mower, laughing out loud to the 400th episode. I'm glad that the podcasts aren't going away. I hope that all of the staff find exciting new outlets for their work, especially Paul, whose MoS review convinced me that I wasn't crazy for walking out of the theater. Good luck to everyone!
August 7, 2013 7:18 pm Wile I am not a hopeful comics professional, I really enjoyed this podcast and appreciate the work you both put into it. Sorry to see Josh have to step aside and I wish the best of luck to Andy with the new version.
August 5, 2013 5:07 pm Thanks, Jeff!
August 5, 2013 4:14 pm It's a shame that these aren't available through Comixology or some other digital store front. I'd love to spend some time reading them again. Great memories.
May 21, 2013 12:04 pm I hope that The Bounce is Joe Casey's secret Speedball revival. I know it's not, but a fan can dream.
May 13, 2013 7:26 pm I've been choosing to wait for the trades with a lot of the New 52 titles, such as Demon Knights. In the past, this wasn't a big deal, as trades came out fairly quickly. Now that DC has this protracted released schedule for trades (the second trade for Demon Knights isn't even out yet), I feel like I'm part of the reason that titles such as these are cancelled. If I want to see titles like Demon Knights (or OMAC or Sword and Sorcery) stay on the stands, do I just have to buy monthlies? Is that my only option?
May 1, 2013 7:56 pm Totally agree. Cleveland is a great city with a lot of comic book connections beyond the Seigel/Shuster one too. The FCBD events are shaping up to be great and the celebrations this year for Superman are looking good. Now, if we could get a major convention going, we could get some hometown comic pros to visit.
