Yesterday I was at my friends LCS & was having this exact conversation with another customer.  His view is that the Apple Tablet is going to revolutionize comics & he would have no problem gettinghis floppies digitally & for the same reasons everyone here has stated above.  He would continue to buy hardcovers & trades but that would be it.  My question is what happens to the LCS?  I know there are lots of awful shops out there & many of you wouldn't mind leaving them but there are really great shops out there like my friends:  http://localheroescomics.com/  in Norfolk, VA and I don't want to lose that great enviornment.  I believe this will be the great casualty of comics going digital & like Mike said in his essay we'll become more closed off & have less interaction with like-minded people.  Going to the LCS isn't just about getting floppies, it's also for the communal aspect.

October 7, 2009 7:53 am Would it have killed Johns & DC not to let this slip out? Look I get we live in a spoiler world now & no I didn't expect them to kill Wally but come on can't there be a LITTLE suspense about how Rebirth will end?

July 2, 2009 7:31 am Another thing to point out is that this entire story was basically lifted from "The Contsant" episode from Lost season 4. If you don't believe me check it out.

January 19, 2009 1:02 pm Sorry Flapjaxx but to say there are special rules for following Grant Morrison's writing is ridiculous. I consider myself a pretty astute follower of Grant's work & I found F.C # 6 utterly confusing.  I've been following this title from it's inception & it does feel like there are HUGE gaps in the story, & I love his work.  I was a huge fan of Invisibles & JLA but this isn't making much sense.  The concepts are great but the execution is definitely flawed.  Plus if this a company wide universe changing event you shouldn't need an appendix to get through it.

September 10, 2008 3:28 pm I have to agree with NC. I was pretty disappointed with this issue. Once again nothing really happens & ending with 2 splash pages is plain cheesy. Also pages 3 & 4 depicts events that are happening in the tie-in mini-series. All the main action is happening off-screen, that's pathetic.
