My comic shop is... online. I only frequent my local shop (which has hardly any back issues worth checking out) when I've missed a recent issue and my online service is sold out. My local shop charges tax, cover price, and $0.20 per bag and board. They do have a decent kids section, so I like to take my son there and let him hang out. In general, driving to my local shop is a waste of time.
The online services will eventually take over your "shops," but the lounges (although rare) and bazaars should be around for awhile.
