August 19, 2010 10:08 am I've read Xmen a long time so I know Emma's past. Despite that, didn't it seem like she suddenly ratchted up the b*tchiness? she's been somewhat rational the last few arcs, this seem a bit overly intense to me. The butta face depiction didn't help either.
July 30, 2010 6:26 pm Chris--did you go to the Farmer's museum to see "The Giant"?
July 14, 2010 10:25 am i could take or leave 1-9, but The Bullpen is pure gold!
July 12, 2010 9:15 pm Rest in Peace--his was a singular voice, and more infulential than anyone believes
July 2, 2010 10:13 pm There is nothing objectively wrong with this, it's all on me. I think I'm just a little oversaturated on Avengers. If I were just getting back into comics after a break though, I would be psyched to be on the ground floor of this. I can appreciate the quality of this book while at the same time admitting I'm just not feeling it.
July 2, 2010 10:11 pm Damn, this was a great column. Nice reminders about why this is supposed to be fun without coming down too hard on the way net fandom seems to express itself. Well done.
June 30, 2010 7:00 pm So what, this will last...a year tops?

I might be wrong but I think the Big Bang 2 1/2 men guy worked in the comic industry back in the day.

June 8, 2010 8:15 pm Read this in weeklies, but I do love how huge the collection is. THe only nitpick I have is that, at least in weeklies, all the stories wound up hitting to same beats at the same time toward the end. I remember feeling that around issue 10. unavoidable given the format--but made me think it might have been interesting to see maybe 6 strip/4 strip arcs. Like I said, nitpick...
