As a hard core X-Factor fan, I am deeply saddened by Larry Stroman’s being on the book.  At first, I thought, well, they change artists so frequently, and it can’t always be the awesomeness of Raimondi…I’ll ride out this crap run and wait eagerly for the next change, which hopefully will come soon!

But it just gets harder and harder to enjoy the book.  I love Peter David’s writing on any project, but X-Factor is by far my favorite, and yet suddenly it is downright painful, because it’s just so ugly to look at.  Jamie Madrox is my number one fictional crush, and now he, as well as everyone else in the story, is hideous and, save for the M tattoo and the signature shirt, nearly indistinguishable from all the rest.

Please please return this book to its former glory!  Give PAD a worthy partner on this book again!

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 1 - Poor

  1. I dunno what she’s doing these days and whether it would be feasible, but I’d love to see Colleen Doran as the regular artist on this book.  I saw her and PAD on a panel together, they really seemed to sync well.  Her work seems like a good fit for the book and she has a confessed crush on Madrox.

  2. I don’t get the cover art…

  3. how long has longshot had the mullet?i thought he got rid of it or something.

  4. This issue was the final straw for me …. I can’t do X-Factor anymore.  The book really feels like it has lost direction and the recent art is terrible.  Someone buzz me when it gets good.
