Ah, Wonder Woman, the best new Vertigo book from DC Comics. The characters are weird, the story is weird, the pacing is weird, the dialogue is weird… Yes, it took me a second to understand what happened at Hera’s pad, but afterward I had that satisfied, “I get it now, so I can be in the club too” feeling. If you’re into being slightly disoriented after reading a comic book, this title is for you.

  1. After several months of thinking, “Okay, I’m dropping this book,” I finally did it, so I haven’t read this issue. This series is probably really awesome in some way I can’t quite see yet. Maybe in trade…

    • I would be willing to put money down that even in trade it won’t be any easier to handle. Azzarello has an odd voice as a writer, and it really shows in this book. Part of the reason why I’m sticking with it is I feel like I’ve accomplished something when it finally makes sense to me (I take my little victories where I can find them).
