  1. ‘(I’m looking at you, excruciatingly pandering and faddish references to all that is teen and all that is green)’

???  I don’t know what this means?  I’m not hip enough, I guess?

  2. It may means you’re not unhip enough–I suppose its all a matter of perspective.

By ‘teen’ I was referring to the "she can’t remember the last time she’s had this many Red Bulls".

By ‘green’ I meant Warren Worthinton III’s hyper-awesome hybrid hydrogen/electric hot-rod. Last issue’s solar-powered, feeding-back-into-the-grid X-quarters was an even more absurd example of the same.

  3. So we still have iffy art, lame pop-culture and green references, and just an over weird new status quo? Yeah I can see why I shouldn’t have dropped this *sarcasm*

  4. I don’t know why I would even consider putting myself in the positiion of Greg Land apologist, but I think he just needs more time to develop. I agree there’s a stiffness to the figures. But there was promise in this issue.

I forgot about the Red Bull line. *groan* I think the opening scene was overwrought in its writing. It’s a dramatic moment, but the whole "Welcome to San Francisco, well Oakland." thing. ugh.

  5. I guess I don’t understand the word ‘pandering’ as it is being used here.
