I’m not usually the downer when it comes to comic reviews. I wasn’t a fan of issue #100. In my humble opinion there was too much build up for what actually happened. I get that survivors are the biggest threat to our little band of survivors. However, after seeing Rick and others take on a large army of zombies in previous issues, I find myself upset that this is becoming more of a wild west story than a zombie apocalypse. Apologies to those who loved this issue. I want zombies, not outlaws.

  1. I’m not sure how LNG you’ve been reading TWD, but if you think it’s about Zombies you are missing the point of the book.

    • I’ve read it all. I don’t think I’m missing the point at all. “About Zombies” is a vague way to look at it. It IS a book taking place during a zombie apocalypse, where zombies are a minimal threat and an almost insignificant part of the overall story. I don’t like that.

  2. I agree. I have described it as Cowboys and Indians.

Walking Dead has deteriorated into generic fights between good guys and bad guys. Gone are the moral dilemnas, daily challenge to stay alive.

#100 was all about shock value, the killing of a major character in a gory fashion. The villain made me yawn. I need more than just a brutal killing to keep me interested in a this story.

    • The build up to Walking Dead #100 was a waste of time. The Glenn character never said or did anything of any importance, so his dead, however burtal and graphic, meant nothing. It was all gorey shock value…who cares?
Charlie Adlard’s art continues to be crude, simplistic, and boring. Robert Kirkman is in a rut with this book and he can’t see it. The group travels around, finds a new place to live, is threatened by some outside crazy lunatic….blah, blah, blah…death, death, death… blah, blah, blah. I’m so bored with the comic, I couldn’t care less about the TV show. And the most annoying thing about this comic….the zombies have almost nothing to do with anything any more.
