A bold and smashing tale for one of marvel’s most infamous villains and i love it. It’s a grand yet grounded tale that really shed an interesting light on Thanos. We can see the seeds sown in this issue and how he developed this uncanny infatuation with death. He finds wonder and beauty in the most grim a places. Lovely, lovely story. The art is also top-notch and heaping in Marvel’s house style but it really seems not to fit with the “conan-esque” tale thats being told. Imagine if, the now deceased, Frank Frazetta drew this tale, wouldn’t you want to take a hold of the cosmic gems themselves just to revive Frank and make this happen? I would bleeding-hell would.
