I don’t think there is a single issues of Superman: Secret Origins that i didn’t read with a big smile on my face. Geoff Johns’s take on the early days of the man of steel perfectly displays why he currenty is the largest asset DC comics has. He continues to wave that mysterious wond we hear so much about and crafts a Superman story that just feels, for lack of a better term, “right”. Gary Frank makes a strong argument that hes the best modern Superman artist. And its not just that he draw Reeves as Superman, its his ability to tell Johns’s story in a great fashion while perfectly illistrating the iconogrophy the story needs. The villian’s story may be a bit rushed, but the character moments of Clark, Lois, Jimmy and Lex are just so……smile giving.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
